Eren Yeager's eyes, opaque emerald shimmering through the early-morning eye fluids, slowly drifted awake.
The stimuli at fault for the awakening were multiple things. One was the bright and beautiful rays of dawn, shimmering through the window of his dorm room. Another was the sweet sound of morning cicadas and crickets singing their pure melodies out in the newly born spring day.
But most of all was the lady, incredible and breathtaking in her beauty and proximity, even in her drowsy, unkempt state, caressing Eren gently, like the lovers that they were. Mikasa Ackerman's delicate fingers traced and tangled themselves in the mop of his hair, and brushed against his scalp. In the immense physical sensitivity that awakening people often experience fondly or not-so-fondly, this was enough to wake him and even please him.
"Good morning." Mikasa whispered into Eren's ear, as she drew closer to his stimulated self. She was nearly nude, wearing only a simple, oversized shirt and underwear, but still looked absolutely amazing as Eren turned to face the unmistakable voice.
Eren himself was almost nude, in no clothes but a pair of boxers, with no shirt or pants or socks on. Mikasa inched forward in a loving embrace, too tired to care enough to sit up, and, very simply, the two pairs of lips of the childhood friends, now college dorm mates and lovers, came into contact with one another. Their mouths and tongues danced, as fervently as they could in the dim dawn light, which, needless to say, was not very much. In restricting addition, they could not, would not dare wake the third roommate, the brilliant and kind Armin Arlert. He did not need to lose sleep over the intimacy that was occurring across the room. Not that he hadn't seen this kind of situation before.
The lips separated and Eren spoke.
"Well, good morning to you too."
Mikasa giggled her wonderful giggle, and the two, cradled in each other's arms like two Shakespearean lovers, slowly drifted off to sleep, deciding to enjoy the sweet moment until their day's classes began.
O, what a wonderful life.
