The Archangel stared at the Fallen, eyes piercing despite their cloudy blue. The Fallen one was hunched, arms folded, dark brooding eyes staring out beyond dark hair, blackened wings arcing out behind its back in a crescent-moon shape.

"The word of a Fallen is not worth much," the Archangel said at last.

"I have not given mine since before the Schism. It is one of the few things that cannot be proven false."

The searching eyes examined the Fallen a little longer, then the Archangel nodded.

"Opportunity for redemption shall be granted to you, then," he said, serious and solemn. "But the fulfilment of your task alone will not secure what you lost."

The Fallen one nodded.

"I shall do my best."

"Very well. One of those whom you tempted fell to the darkness. A dark lord. A wizard. He has been terrorizing Britain for several decades now." The Fallen nodded. It knew who the Archangel was talking about. "As you had a hand in his creation, it will be your task to remedy the balance of things. You will be sent in the form of a human infant. During your lifetime you must overcome your trials and find a way to defeat this Dark Lord. Are you willing?"

The Fallen nodded again, impatient. The Archangel closed its eyes and prepared to send the Fallen on its way.

"One more thing," asked the Fallen as the light enveloped him, "do I have a name yet?"
