"Oh Smeagol! I've got one!" Deagol yelled in excitement as a fish happily tugged onto his line. "I've got a fish Smeagol, Smeagol!" The two began to laugh hysterically as the idea of having a fish lodged into their minds.
"Pull it in! Go on, go on, go on, pull it in!" Smeagol coaxed as Deagol was pulled over the boats edge and into the waters below.
"Deagol!" Smeagol cried in dismay watching from the boat as his friend disappears for a long time, his eyes scanning, searching for any sign of his lost friend. When suddenly Deagol crawls out of the water and into the grassy bank.
"Deagol!" Smeagol shouts instantly rowing toward the bank, jumping out of the boat and rushing quickly toward his friend.
"Deagol!" Smeagol laughed as his eyes roamed over his friend, spotting the ring in his hand. His happy expression diminishing as he becomes mesmerized by it.
"Give us that! Deagol my love," Smeagol said quickly causing Deagol to turn to look at him curiously.
"Why?" Deagol asked.
"Because..." Smeagol answered in a friendly tone wrapping his arm tightly around Deagol's shoulders. "It's my birthday and I wants it."
Smeagol moved to grab for the ring but Deagol quickly turned away snatching it furtherer away from Smeagol . The two starring each other down before Smeagol smiled kindly at Deagol but continued to attempt to snatch the ring away once more. They circle each other their faces close to one another, Deagol holding the ring behind him.
Smeagol tries again to snatch the ring from Deagol, to pry it from his fingers, causing a struggle to erupt between the two. Deagol began to push Smeagol away but applying pressure to his chin, Smeagol retaliated by biting Deagol on the wrist that was pushing him. Deagol screamed and turned to run away from his once dear friend only to have Smeagol jump onto his back, making him fall over and drop the ring.
The two scramble across the ground toward the fallen ring, but Deagol managed to make it to the ring first. He turned around just as Smeagol jumped onto him attack him, grabbing him by the throat with one hand. Smeagol struggled but managed to push Deagol off by grabbing Deagol's throat with both of his hands and applying pressure. He forced him to the ground and held him tightly, effectively strangling his friend to death.
Smeagol released DEagol with a saddened look over his face before his eyes drift over to the ring,, quickly taking it into his own hands he admires it rare beauty..
"My precious."
Indi was awoke from her dream on a grey morning, the barren trees around them, her chest heaving up and down as she felt a pain climbing up her arm. Looking down she expected to see the blood staining through her gauze but instead pure white bandages. Just the throbbing of the closed wound.
"Wake up!" Gollum yelled jumping down causing Indi to jump in fright still effectively bothered by her dream about the weird...well normal creature that had Gollum's name in her dream.
"Wake up!" Gollum yelled coming over to Sam and prodding him until he awoke with a snort and a huff.
"What is wrong with you?" Indi grumbled laughing back down on her back with a growl.
"Wake up sleepies. We must go, yes, we must go at once!" Gollum insisted scampering away once Sam sat up.
"Haven't you had any sleep Mr. Frodo?" Sam asked in concerned at the gray ashen face of Frodo who quietly shook his head.
"Was it cause of me?" Indi asked sadly she knew she must have been talking in hr sleep or tossing and turning, Frodo picked the spot right next to her so she must have hit him a lot or something to keep him away.
"And I've gone and had too much," Sam said rising to his feet. "It must be getting late."
"No, it isn't. It isn't midday yet," Frodo said peering around them. "The days are growing darker." As if sensing Frodo's words the ground began to shake violently like an earthquake. Indi immediately began to scream running around looking for something solid to put herself between to keep her face, deciding there was plenty of rock and trees she picked the closest two and covered her head. Frodo and Sam looking at her curiously as the volcano erupted in spurts of fire in the far distance.
"Come on! Must go! No time!" Gollum insisted.
"We must wait for Indi," Frodo said.
"Not before Mr. Frodo's had something to eat," Sam said as Indi slowly came from her hiding spot with the assurance that nothing was happening.
"You know in my home we don't have this weird land shit! We are nice and peaceful like the Shire nothing happens and I now want to go back!" Indi cried as Gollum jumped between her and Frodo.
"No time to lose silly!" Gollum laughed pushing Indi further away. Sam ignored Gollum going toward his bad for the food to feed Frodo, pulling out there only food left, Lembas bread. Handing it to Indi who wrinkled her nose but took it.
"Here," Sam whispered as Frodo eagerly took it starving.
"What about you?" Frodo asked curiously watching as Indi took looked at him.
"Oh no, I'm not hungry. least ways not for lembas bread," Sam replied looking off into the distance.
"Is this an weight issue?" Indi teased causing Frodo to grin.
"What?" Sam asked.
"Look if you are trying to keep your figure I think Lembas bread is the best way to keep the pounds off it feels like your eating air anyways," Indi replied.
"Oh alright, we don't have must left so we have to be careful or we are going to run out. You go ahead and eat that Mr. Frodo. I've rationed it, there should be enough," Sam confessed causing Indi and Frodo to smile.
"For what?" Frodo asked.
"The journey home," Sam answered causing the two to stop and for one look surprised to hear the words, they were going to be able to journey home.
"Come Hobbitses, very close now. Very close to Mordor. No safe places here. Hurry," Gollum urged as the group finally packed their things to begin their journey once more. The creature leading them through the mazes of Mordor.
Theoden and the Fellowship packed up, carefully pulling Jessica along, keeping her close t Aragorn and Legolas so that none would try to offer to hold the man up without learning the deadly secret. Legolas watched as the girl's legs seemed to give out every once and a while, voting they bring the horses to her Kristy followed closely behind.
"I think this is the first quiet moment we have had with you," Aragorn said looking over at Kristy who hovered over her sister almost in tears as Jessica rested her head on Boromir's shoulder unable to notice the slight ting of jealousy crossing Legolas' face.
"Shut up...she's all I have," Kristy whispered causing Aragorn to become serious and pull her away motioning for Legolas to get Jessica on a horse.
"You will ride with me. Jesse will be fine. That lad is to stubborn to leave us," Gimli said with a grin causing Kristy to smile.
"You're right," she confirmed as Gimli was helped onto a horse before Aragorn motioned Boromir onto the horse with.
"Let the lass ride with me," Gimli said.
"You do not want her on the horse will you unless you plan on being friends with the ground," Boromir said as Aragorn pulled Kristy to his horse. Once mounted everyone looked to Jessica who seemed to drain more and more of her color by the minute.
"To Isengard!" Gandalf announced and the group galloped away into the horizon with their destination in mind. Jessica leaned against Legolas' chest feeling his cheek lower to her forehead.
"I am not saying I want you help," she grumbled feeling him smile into her head.
"I am no longer offering my help to you. You are being given it," Legolas replied as he pulled her tighter to his body to keep her up right as the horses gained in speed.
The large tower of Isengard came into view very quickly after riding for a few days, the ground noticed to small beings sitting upon the wall.
"Welcome, my lords and lady to Isengard!" Merry welcomed standing to bow to the new comers while grinning happily at their victory.
"Merry! Pippin!" Kristy cried out in happiness quickly jumping from Aragorn's hold and to the ground, rushing toward them.
"You young rascals. A merry hunt you've led us on and now we find you feasting and...and smoking!" Gimli scoffed.
"We are sitting on a field of victory enjoying a few well earned comforts," Pippin slurred while taking a bite out of his sandwich. "The salted pork is particularly good."
"Salted pork..." Gimli whispered interested.
"Hobbits!" Gandalf called.
"We're under orders from Treebeard who's taken over management of Isengard," Merry replied his eyes drifted to Legolas as he and Aragorn helped Jessica off the horse and toward the wall.
"What happened to he-him?" Merry asked as all eyes turned to Jessica who looked up her eyes focusing on the hobbits with a grin.
"I missed a blade during battle," she lied. The ground seemed to shake as Treebeard approaching causing Jessica and Kristy to gap in shock.
"What the fuck is that?" Jessica gasped nearly falling over as she craned her neck back to look up at the all creature.
"Is that what you said about the forest?" Kristy yelled turning to run only to be caught by Aragorn.
"It is an Ent.," he explained.
"I don't care what it is let me go!" Kristy yelled terrified.
"Hooom, young master Gandalf. I'm glad you've come. Wood and water, stock and stone I can master, but there is a Wizard to manage here locked in his tower," Treebeard said annoyed looking up the tower.
"How many freaking wizards are there? Two Gandalfs, one in a tower, Saurman," Kristy huffed crossing her arms causing Gandalf to chuckle.
"There are but two that you need know of. Gandalf and Saurman," he said patting her shoulder.
"Show yourself," Aragorn shouted up the tower.
"Be careful. Even in defeat, Saurman is dangerous," Gandalf advised everyone.
"Well then let's just have his head and be done with it," Gimli said grabbing his axe causing Jessica to rise to her feet wobbling slightly as she drew her sword taking a deep breath.
"Are we going into battle again?" she whispered leaning slightly toward the wall.
"No we need him alive. We need him to talk," Gandalf said.
"Why? Aren't you suppose to know everything?" Kristy asked with accusing eyes to the man that she considered a grand father like figure.
"You have fought many wars and slain many men Theoden King and made peace afterwards. Can we not take counsel together as we once did, my old friend? Can we not have peace you and I?" Saurman called down.
"He is joking right?" Kristy scoffed looking around at everyone as if expecting them to laugh with her.
"We shall have peace... We shall have peace when you answer for the burning of the WEstfold and the children that lie dead there! We shall have peace when the lives of the soldiers whose bodies were hewn even as they lay dead against the gates of the Hornburg...are avenged! When you hang from the gibbet for sport of your crows...we shall have peace!" Theoden called up.
"Are we not going into battle?" Jessica whispered to Boromir who quickly shook his head rushing to her side as she leaned back against the wall.
"Gibbets and crows! Dotard! What do you want Gandalf Gramhame? Let me guess...the key of Orthanc? Or perhaps the keys of Barad Dur itself? Along with the crowns of the seven Kings and rods of the Five Wizards!" Saurman shouted down.
"So there are five wizards! HA! Now I know!" Kristy shouted pointing a finger in triumph toward the grey wizard now turned white.
"Your treachery has already cost many lives. Thousands more are now at risk. But you could save them Saurman. You were deep in the enemy's counsel," Gandalf called.
"So you have come here for information. I have some for you," Saurman said holding up the palantir and looking into it.
"What is that? The crystal ball?" Kristy asked.
"Something festers in the heart of Middle Earth. Something you have failed to see. But the great eye has seen it! Even now he presses his advantage. His attack will come soon," Saurman said as Gandalf rode forward.
"What is he talking about?" Kristy questioned.
"You are all going to die! But you know this don't you Gandalf? You can not think that this Ranger will ever sit upon the throng of Gondor. This exile, crept from the shadows will never be crowned King!" Saurman yelled drawing Aragorn's attention.
"Hey Aragorn will become King!" Kristy shouted causing the ranger to look at her in surprise.
"What? I know you will. You'll be a great King!" She exclaimed.
"Gandalf does not hesitate to sacrifice those who are closest to him...those he professes to love! Tell me, what words of comfort did you give the Halfling before you sent him to his doom? The path that you have set him on can only lead to death," Saurman said.
"What is he talking about?" Jessica whispered.
"He is lying right?" Kristy replied her mind drifted toward her friend and the hobbits.
"I've hear enough! Shoot him! Stick an arrow in his gob!" Gimli yelled as Legolas quickly reached for an arrow.
"No! Come down Saurman and your life will be spared!" Gandalf yelled.
"Save your pity and your mercy. I have no use for it!" Saurman shouted a moved his staff to direct a bolt of fire at Gandalf which he easily blocked with no effects to his person.
"Saurman...your staff is broken!" Gandalf shouted as the group below watched as the White Wizards staff burst asunder. Grima Wormtongue suddenly appearing from the shadows.
"Grima! You need not follow him! You were not always as you are now. You were once a man of Rohan. Come down," Theoden called causing Grima to look down at the group turning toward the stairs.
"Why don't you just shoot them and save the lectures?" Jessica hissed to Legolas causing Boromir to grin and hold back the laughter.
"It's a good time for you to rest," Legolas counted.
"Grima...come down! be free of him!" Theoden tried once more.
"Free? He will never be free!" Saurman yelled.
"How the hell did Gandalf ever listen to him?" Kristy asked Merry and Pippin who sat on the wall contently eating their food.
"I have not an idea," Merry replied passing Kristy and Gimli some pork. Jessica moved to her feet just as Legolas aimed his arrow at what she could not tell, until the impact of Saurman's body right behind her in the water.
"The filth of Saurman is washing away. Tree will come back to live here," Treebeard said as Pippin noticed the Palantir and moves toward it.
"Young trees. Wild trees," Treebeard continued on
"Pippin!" Aragorn called as Pippin picked up the Palantir looking into it.
"Bless my bark!" Treebeard yelled.
"What is it?" Jessica and Kristy asked in unison looking at the strange ball curiously as Jessica was loaded back up onto a horse.
"Peregrin Took. I'll take that my lad! Quickly now!" Gandalf ordered as his hands the Palantir to Gandalf who quickly wraps it up ignoring all the questions from Jessica and Kristy. Gandalf looked intently to the hobbit before he turned away.
Author's Note: Alright I know you guys are going to be sad that Jessica didn't do to much on this chapter but remember she has stranger markings now that are healing and I figured Indi needed a bigger part and I would try to keep this as close to the story line as possible before I have to start re doing things to fit my characters in so let me know what you think besides the seriousness! lol.
