If cleaning was a euphemism, then Wei Wei would make Master clean more often.
Even though everything about it should have been off-putting: the newspaper hat, the smell of disinfectant and a garbage bag in hand - Wei Wei found that Master was perhaps a bit more attractive when she ordered him around (although a small part of her knew he was just humouring her).
Maybe it was because it was odd for her to feel lonely after only a few weeks apart. Maybe it was the adrenaline she felt while trying to be the one that surprised him for once. Maybe it was the way he had kissed her in his office - with Old Man Yu standing on the other side of the wall no less!
It had felt a bit wrong, at first, to be the one that approached him. It had always been him who made the first move, who reached for her hand first and initiated every contact they had with each other. It had felt odd, trapped against the wall, with his arms around her. Somehow, he had cornered her without her noticing, they had been discussing what to do for lunch when she felt his arms wrap themselves around her waist - she didn't even notice the coldness of the wall on her back. Yet, even in this position, it had been her who had leaned in (although he had met her halfway), to continue where they had left off.
She kissed him with abandon, no longer in shock and disbelief as she had been in his office. Their lips moved in tandem, and Wei Wei tried her best to imitate his movements, to follow his lead.
All of a sudden he moved away, breathing heavily and pulled her head to his chest. For a few minutes, Wei Wei listened to his heart beating in sync with hers, although his slowed down before hers did - likely because he did more exercise than she.
"I missed you, Wei Wei."
Those words. Those words that she had wanted to hear at Zhi Yi, seemed a bit pointless now. Pointless after what they had just done.
Still, Wei Wei replied, "I missed you too."
Wei Wei felt him lean over a little, and a small spot of pressure on her crown told her he had kissed her head.
"Let's get something to eat."
And just like that, the spell was broken.
