Edward stared at his enemy, trying to take a look at what she had planned. One wrong move and it would all be over, all his plans, all his effort. She was wily, able to get out of almost all his carefully laid traps with ease. He usually could never pin her down, but today he was willing to take chances.

He ordered someone from his side to move against her, and immediately she retaliated. The two sacrifices didn't fight, the one on Edward's side just toppled over with a single touch. He grimaced, and grimly sent another soldier to his death, though this time there was a pause from the opposition.

Alice toppled over her king and muttered darkly, "Lucky move."
