I wrote this as a request from the amazing and heart-warmingly kind FreakyFantasy, from whom I stole the plot of this poem. Enjoy!

Alice, Alice had a great fall she did
And in a very strange, mad land she slid
A wacky adventure into unknown,
She never needed to feel sad, alone
Because she met with the strangest creatures
Who were scary with their twitchy features
But who were also loyal and true mates,
Who helped Alice through their mad, entwined fates.
But one of these friends lingered in her mind
Like a ghost always following behind
He had hair like a fiery explosion
Eyes that burnt into yours like corrosion
He was talented at his art, and proud,
Flaunting his favourite hat to every cloud
He bowed and called himself the Mad Hatter
He was impulsive and made plates shatter
Spoke perfect nonsense at the speed of light
Although it was widely known he was bright.
He stole Alice's heart like a mad thief,
Dictated it as commander in chief
And when she escaped from that Underland,
She found her old life surprisingly bland.
She wrapped her heart in paper and a bow
And handed it to Herold, whom was so-so
The soft warm glow, like burning carrot hair
However, would always remain deep there
A longing, a wistful dream, to be with…
Ah, Hatter, with only him would she live!
But when she returned to that wacky place,
She felt like she had been smashed with a mace
For her loved, beautiful, ludicrous land
Had been through much more than it could withstand
It seemed forever twilight in the sun
The darkness, the evil had overrun.
And that cruel, heartless creature turned king Stayne
Had transformed, twisted him: much more insane.
Her love was clawed, hideous and ravaged
Instead of wondrous glint, eyes savaged
His trademark hat lay torn, sad and lonely,
Yet Alice still felt love for him only.
His gaze went past her, only saw weak prey
But did she spot longing to disobey?
Was it her imagination, or – no!
He can't be lost to this curse forever,
But couldn't feel the same whatsoever
As poor little Alice, lost in deep love,
In a daydream of a land not Above
With a good mad man who would always be
Alice's dazzling, freaky fantasy.
