Notes: It's been awhile since I've written a Zutara drabble but I figured since it was Christmas I'd do one for you guys.

By the way, it Christmas Eve.

30fics in 30days

Merry Christmas Love,

She sat on her overstuffed armchair and listened to the children run around and play with the new toys they had been given.

They would scream and cry out almost like they were at war with each other and it amused her to no end at how they would get into their little fights over who got who.

Every Christmas it was the same, they'd invite their grandchildren over along with their good old friends and they'd dine happily talking about the days were peace was something forgotten, where Christmas meant being lonely and there were no presents.

They'd tell the children of how they fought the mean old Fire Lord and how their grandfather, her husband, had taken the thrown and restored peace and happiness to the sad people.

They would talk about the 'old days' and the ones to come, how beautiful the fire Nation was now that the darkness had been lifted.

The children would sit back and listen to them go on and on about how much had changed since they were young and youthful.

And then they would go and play leaving their Grandparents to talk about their grown up stuff.

Katara closed her eyes for a moment and heard a whisper, "So beautiful," she lazily opened a sparkling blue eye and looked at the man in front of her.

"I'm too old to be beautiful Zuko dear," she whispered to her husband who came and sat down on the armchair next to hers, he smile lightening up his old and wise golden eyes.

"No you're Katara, you were beautiful when we were younger but now you're just stunning." He winked at her earning himself a small laugh and a smile.

Zuko, look at me, I'm old." She waved a hand in front of her face pointing at her worn and wrinkly face and grayish hair.

"It's true Katara," he whispered, "You are old, as am I, but you are still so amazing. Your wrinkles just tell of how much you have lived, you eyes shine so brightly with the love you have, and your hair." He placed his hand in her hair and touched it gently, "Your hair is just as soft as ever."

Katara looked at her husband, his own face covered with wrinkles and his scar was still there but had dulled over the many years, his eyes still lit up like fire whenever he saw her and she had to admit she loved it.

She grabbed his hand, which was still imbedded and playing with her hair, and kissed it before placing it on her dark brown cheek.

"And you my dearest husband, are still the most handsome man I had ever met," she leaned over her arm rest and gently kissed him on the lips.

"Merry Christmas Love," he whispered to her before kissing her softly.

"Eww," she felt Zuko smirk as she smiled and gave small chuckle, "Get a room you two."

Katara turned around to face the person, "Come on Toph, I'm sure you know by now, we can't get any alone time until tonight." Her friend blushed slightly before giving a 'whatever', and walking back to her husband.

She turned back to Zuko, "Merry Christmas to you too dear."
