This is my first story on here. Please review and tell me what you think. I loved this song and Jiley just popped into my brain. I hope you like it!
Kiss Me Slowly
I can see you there with the city lights,
Fourteenth floor, pale blue eyes.
I can breathe you in.
Miley was so close. Shane could easily reach out and brush the curly brown hair out of her blue eyes. The eyes he loved to see. She had on her signature perfume that he could never get tired of. Her relationship with Nate just ended last month and she was still trying to move on.
Two shadows standing by the bedroom door,
No, I could not want you more than I did right then,
As our heads leaned in.
The two of them stood there, outside of her bedroom, holding hands. She looked up at him with her shining eyes. He wanted her more than ever, so he leaned in. There lips were only centimeters apart.
I hold my breath as you're moving in,
Taste your lips and feel your skin.
When the time comes, baby don't run, just kiss me slowly.
She closed the gap between their lips. Her arms snaked around his neck and his hands landed on her waist, pulling her closer. He loved the taste of her lips and feeling her body pressed against his.
Stay with me, baby stay with me,
Tonight don't leave me alone.
She shows me everything she used to know,
Picture frames and country roads,
When the days were long and the world was small.
That night he stayed at her house. She pulled out her old photo albums and showed him everything. She let her wall down. She let him see the picture frames of her family and the country roads back in Tennessee. She showed him a part of her that not many get the chance to see.
She stood by as it fell apart,
Separate rooms and broken hearts,
But I won't be the one to let you go.
From that moment on, he was there for her whenever she needed him. He was there for her when her parents started to sleep in separate rooms because they were fighting too much. He was there when the divorce was announced and he promised he wouldn't be the one to let her fall. He couldn't let her go.
Don't run away...
And it's hard to love again,
When the only way it's been,
When the only love you know,
Just walked away...
If it's something that you want,
Darling you don't have to run,
You don't have to go ...
Just stay with me, baby stay with me,
"Don't run away," he whispered as she cried. "I know it's hard to love someone when everyone's leaving. If you need anything, I'm here. You don't have to leave. And I won't ever leave you. Just stay with me. I love you, Mi."
She smiled back at the boy who had helped her from the day Nick walked away to the day her parents split and she knew he would never leave. Truth was evident in his eyes. "I love you too, Shaney."
