Losing Your Wings
OoOoO
Warning: set in a world where Karu a.k.a Ea has reincarnated as a young boy, while Landkarte's still a 'ghost'.
And by the way, 07-Ghost still belongs to Yukino Ichihara and Yuki Amemiya.
OoOoO
When you have a pair of wings, there will be three possibilities.
First, you can fly by using your wings; you can reach the sky, go anywhere you want, and run away from that golden cage of yours.
Second, you'll be weighed by those wings. You can't use them yet. You can't run away, or escaping from that golden cage. Even if you can flap them, there's a chance that you will fall into the third possibility.
"What is that?" the little boy asked innocently. Curiosity sparkling brightly from his dark, amethyst eyes.
The far older man in black robe smiled pitifully.
If you can't use them perfectly, you can either losing them or falling into madness for the first cause.
An awful silence.
Before the man could bid farewell, however, the little boy with dark brown hair pulled his sleeve and asked something else:
"Have you met someone who fell into the third possibility?"
Again, the pale-skinned man smiled pitifully. Memory of 'his' betrayal at that night flooding his vision for a while, until he couldn't see the boy in front of him properly. Seeing a blurred image of your beloved friend next to this little boy wouldn't make it easy for you to resist your tears, right? Especially if that friend of yours had 'gone' to this world first, leaving you alone until the time for you to be reincarnated came…
Not only 'meet'.
I can even tell you about that guy's pitiful appearance in short.
"Tell me about him!"
Well, dear Karu, he said the name's lovingly, while putting his hand on his robe's hood. Slowly, he pulled it down—showing the boy his real appeareance; his light-colored hair with long bang on one side, his narrow electric lime eyes, and his pale skin which made him more pitiful than ever.
Look at me, and you've seen the most pitiful guy who've lost his wings and fallen into madness.
.
The boy blinked slowly.
"Was it painful to have them 'ripped off' from you?"
.
It was.
But betraying your friend until you stained your hands with his blood was more painful than losing your wings—ever.
.
.
The end.
