Restless…

Ada was restless.

Bored even.

It had been almost 4 months since her mission in Raccoon City and, although her left shoulder still ached on occasion, she was perfectly fit for duty. However, there she was, sat in her make shift apartment, re-reading the same magazine over and over again, waiting for her lord and master to call.

Not that the spy wasn't grateful for his warning about the impending missile strike or the helpful exit strategy he had given her, far from it. Although it had come at a price… But then this was Albert Wesker and everything came at a price, even life.

She held no illusions of the man. As for as she was concerned Albert Wesker was not the sort who took pity on anyone… even his own mother. Ada knew that if she hadn't managed to some how collect that Tissue fragment, she too would've shared the same fate as the cities doomed inhabitants. But then that was how her line of work, well… worked. And on the whole she was fine with that. Ada had been sent there to do a job simple as that. It had nearly killed her, but she did it and Wesker had allowed her to live, if only to get his precious sample.

However that wasn't to say she was overly thrilled with the outcome.

As much as she was used to people using her, Raccoon had been a little too close for comfort and she knew any further dealings with Wesker were likely to end the same way. Not too mention the whole affair still gave her sleepless nights.

Because if vivid the blood drenched, groan filled visions of something worse than death didn't wake her at all hours of the night soaked in cold sweat, then the thought of what Wesker could do with the G-Virus sample that she had supplied him with certainly did the trick. And then there was Leon of course…

Still, there was nothing she could do about it. Ada had completed her mission and Wesker was pleased. And since it had been proven that they had worked well together, their continued partnership was pretty much assured, since their organisation didn't exactly trust Wesker as much as they liked him to think they did. Although Ada had seen an up side, even though Wesker was the most dangerous person she had ever worked under, he was also the most efficient.

You know if he wasn't so horrifically insane I would even go, as far as to say he's probably the best boss I've ever had.

A shudder trickled its way down Ada's spine and she decided to take her mind off of her current predicament with yet another trashy magazine.

However, before she could delve any further into some sub-celebrities love life her phone rang.

"Miss Wong."

"Yes?" She replied.

"I have an assignment for you…"
