BEGIN LOG: Crash Site Kappa reached. Downed Atlesian battleship recon/salvage underway. Grimm infestations on Decks 2, 3, and 5. Systemic purge advised.

Hello?

Is there something new today?

Nevermind. Perhaps we should get back to business.

No life signs detected. Initiating purge.

After all, we have a new test subject.

Grimm infestation eradicated. Two losses. Hardware analysis initiated. Complete. Removing traces of our presence. Returning to Spire.

And this new test looks to be quite interesting.

"Ruby, I don't know how you talked me into this!" Weiss' exasperation at her partner was evident to everyone in the nearby vicinity. The stadium they were seated in was almost entirely full, with a barrage of sound coming in from all directions. Spectators were hollering, fangirls were squealing, and everyone was having a wonderful time.

The show hadn't even started yet.

"It seemed like a good idea! Things like this are good for winding down, right?" Ruby's reply was barely audible over the crowd, but Weiss heard enough to make her rub her brow in annoyance.

"How is THIS supposed to calm us down? I can barely hear myself think!"

"Oh, come on, Weiss! Loud music and screaming crowds are the perfect combo for beating the stress out of ya!" Yang was having fun, since she'd purchased a massive canister of Schnee Cola (ostensibly to share, but no one else dared to take a sip while she had it) that she was gradually depleting. She was also enjoying the attention from the males in the crowd. Blake was huddled beside her, having procured two sets of earplugs for her human and faunus ears. "Besides, didn't you perform at a concert once?"

"That was opera, which I can assure you is much more elegant than whatever this band is about to play. The audience was also significantly less... rowdy." Weiss would have elaborated, had the stadium's speakers not sprang to life at that moment.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, we apologise for the slight delay in our performance schedule. The technical difficulties we were experiencing have been resolved, and the show is about to begin." The announcer's voice was followed by a new wave of screaming from the audience. Weiss had to brace herself to not be knocked from her seat by the sheer force of the noise. Looking down into the stage, she could see that the central podium had sunk into the ground while she was talking with Ruby, and it was now raising back up with three passengers. The central one brought a microphone in front of his lips.

"Thank you all for coming!" He called out. "It's a wonderful night to be in Vale, even more now that we've made our debut! It is with great pleasure that we start the first Vale performance... of Proxy and the Stargazers!"

Author's note: Hey, it's me again. I'm so sorry about the wait for the next DoaEF chapter, but a combination of procrastination and performance-related injury has prevented me from making any progress. My current plan is to complete that story in it's entirety before I post any more chapters for it. On the bright side, that means longer chapters and a more regular update schedule once updates resume. The downside, of course, is that it'll be a fairly long time before any new chapters come out.

However, a rush of inspiration has lead me to create this. It's set in a slight AU, the details of which will become apparent as the story unfolds. The current starting point is between Season 2 and Season 3.

I also have another fic in the works, which is supposed to act as a set of character trailers for a team of OCs that me and a few friends have been working on.

Also, I find it really odd that I always write these from Weiss' perspective. For goodness' sake, Ruby is my favourite from team RWBY!
