Aurora watched, interested, for a few moments. The town's people had all been turned to crows by the Raven. The Prince was waiting for Princess Tutu to return the last heart shard. Rue was dancing in the depths of despair. And Fakir was desperately writing, writing to create a happy ending for all the people of the town.

Aurora had been one of the few not affected by the Raven. She still had her human form. Disguised as a student in the ballet division of the academy, Aurora had been keeping a very close watch on the circumstances of the story playing out in real life. The sufferings of the Prince, the controlling notions of the knight, the joy of the Princess.

"Ah, yes. The Princess" Aurora spoke to herself in a whisper. Both princesses intrigued Aurora greatly. Her curly auburn hair was placed in a low side ponytail. She gently twirled her hair, contemplating what she was about to do. Princess Tutu, though unable to express her love to her Prince, did all she could to help him. She simply wanted to protect him and make him happy. Princess Kraehe, on the other hand, seemed only concerned with the love of the prince.

"But Princess Kraehe's actions as of late have been sacrificial. Who deserves the wish more?" You see, Aurora had the power of granting one wish to each courageous person who went above and beyond their given role. However, only one Princess would get any wish she wanted without consequences.

Aurora decided to simply watch and wait. The Prince rescued Rue and killed the Raven, while the duck hoped and danced to her hearts content, changing all the town's people back to themselves. The town was now normal.

"I have made my decision." Aurora followed the group up to where the story of the Prince and the Raven was kept, where the Prince decided to enter the story once again. He wanted to take Rue with him, and make her his princess.

"Wait, my prince." Everyone turned to face Aurora. "I have one last duty to perform to you, Rue and Duck. Each of you gets a wish, for being courageous, true of heart, and beautiful people inside. For it is inner beauty that matters the most. I have discussed your circumstances with the elders of my people, and both of you get any wish in the world, without consequences. And yes, Duck, I will be able to understand what you are saying." Aurora smiled, waiting to see what the two former Princesses would wish for.

Rue stepped forward. "I am happy, happier than I have ever felt in my life. I want to give my wish to Duck." There were tears in her eyes when she said this.

"Very well, Rue. Duck, what would you like to wish for.

For a few moments, there were a series of quacks as Duck expressed her wishes.

Aurora clasped her hands, and a white light began to surround both her and Duck. Duck grew larger, and the form of herself as a girl appeared. "Thank you, very much, Miss Aurora." Duck hugged her.

"I'm just doing what I can."

Fakir stepped forward. "Duck, you only wished for one thing."

"No, Fakir, I didn't. I wished to be a girl again, and I also wished to be a beautiful ballet dancer so that we can dance together."

She took his hand, and together, with Aurora, they returned to the village, which was now free of Drosselmeyer's power.
