Ring. Ring.
Sigh.
Ring. Ring.
Groan.
Ring.

"I can see you through the window, idiot." A voice growled through the answering machine before it went silent. Shane Gray sheepishly smiled to himself.

"Can you hear me, too?"

"Yes." The voice replied.

"Then come in."

"The door's locked."

"Oh." Beep. He stretched as he stood from his warm little couch. The door opened and he was greeted by the familar face of Nate Black. He glared as he stepped inside.

"Why didn't you answer?"

"The phone was too far away."

"You're hopeless."

"Mmhmm. Now, what did you want to talk about?" Nate flung himself down, sprawling on the couch. Shane scoffed. "I'll just stand then."

"I wanted to ask out Mitchie." Silence. He looked at him, waiting. "Shane? I'm asking for permission here."

"I know. And I hope you know that Mitchie has a fierce attitude problem." He sighed.

"I know that." He paused. "I think she's cute when she's mad, though."

"I did, too. Until she lashed out at me for saying so."

"Ouch. So...this is a yes?"

"It's a 'be careful,' stupid."

"I can live without the insults."

"But then your life would be horribly boring."

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes. "Guess I better get going."

"Uh-huh. Even if your best friend barely sees you--"

"Caitlyn sees me everyday--"

"Psh. I've even been replaced. That's awesome." Nate stood, smirking.

"That couch is really comfortable."

"I know, right?"

"Ah, what would I do without you?"

"Die." They laughed, and Nate took a step toward the door, but it didn't happen the way he planned. His foot got caught and the next thing he knew, he had tumbled into Shane and onto the ground. Bad part? He was on top of him. Worse part? His lips had somehow landed on his. Worst part? Someone had just walked in.

"Oh my God. Am I interrupting something?" The voice they recognized as Caitlyn said, before bursting out laughing. "I mean, I thought Shane was gay, but you Nate?"

"Dude, get off me!" Shane yelled, pushing him off and onto the floor. "He totally came onto me, I swear." He said, rubbing his arm over his mouth.

"Oh, please. Don't flatter yourself. I tripped on your stupid carpet."

"My carpet is not stupid--"

"You both are stupid." They turned to glare. She smiled, held her fingers up to her mouth and said; "My lips are sealed. I didn't see a thing." They nodded, thankful and Nate quickly made his way out, no mishaps this time.

"Before you say anything--"

"What the hell, Shane?" She cackled, amused at his anger.

"Shut up." He frowned sitting on the couch.

"Mad at me?"

"Yes. You're a bully." He pouted.

"Maturity was never your strong suit." He turned his face in the opposite direction. "Silent treatment?" No answer. She rolled her eyes and made her way to standing in front of him. "Shaaane?"

"Hmph."

"You're being a baby."

"I could think of a b word that describes you, too."

"Wow, nice one, Gray." Slowly, she climbed into his lap, looking into his eyes.

"What are you doing?"

"What can I say?" She mumbled, lips brushing against his. "I dig gay guys." He groaned.

"I'm not gay."

"Mmmhmm." She pressed her lips fully, but gently, against his, smiling as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

Yeah...
I don't know where this came from.
The song "I Kissed A Boy" by Cobra Starship was in my head and...
Yeah.
Not the best I've done, but not worst.
