That had been together for a month. It had to be a secret of course, because it was against eighteen different protocals. Ward counted. Sometimes, the secrecy made it hot. Other times, it caused trouble.

Like when Ward was sent to seduce a woman for information.

Yeah. That was bad.

Skye glared at the image of the pretty girl on the screen in the briefing room. She had long, red hair and predatory blue eyes. When Coulson announced that Ward would be doing this, Skye choked on air and Ward swallowed thickly.

"Is there a problem, Agent Ward?" Coulson asked. Ward looked from Skye to his boss.

"Um, no. Not a problem," he answered, because as dangerous as a pissed Skye was, a pissed Coulson was worse.

"Seriously?" She yelled the next time they were alone. "Really, Ward?"

"Skye, are you jealous?"

"No shit, Sherlock. Did you forget that...oh yeah. We're together?" she hissed like venom. He ran a hand through his hair.

"I know, but, its a mission. It happens all the time."

"Oh, wow. Way to help things." she said with an icy glare.

"I'm sorry! What was I supposed to do? Tell Coulson we're together? He would kick me off this plane!" Skye sighed.

"Okay. You're right. But just...only do what's absolutely necessary?" she requested.

" I swear." He promised.

{One Hour Before Mission}

"I love you, Ward. For real."

"I love you too, Skye."

"Whaddya say? I've got a nice hotel to waiting for us," Alexia, the terrorist suggested to Ward with a seductive smile. He looks panicked for a moment.

"Let's talk first. I don't wanna sleep with someone before getting to know them."

"I'll upgrade the room if you really want," Alexia promised, a finger tracing his shoulder. "Top floor, for you."

"Why don't we play a game?" He suggested.

She plopped on his lap. "What kind of game? One for just the two of us, I hope."

"Yes. I'll ask a question. You answer."

"If I get it right, with I be rewarded?" She blinked her curled lashes.

"Er, yeah. Sure."

"Good. I like being rewarded," she purred.

"What's your job?"

"I can be anything you want...what do you want me to be?" Ward shifted away from her.

"I have to use the restroom. One moment." He hopped up and dashed to the bathroom to find Coulson waiting for him there.

"Good job," he clapped Ward on the back.

"What for?" He questioned, confused. "I didn't get her for talk at all."

"This mission was a test, Ward. To see how loyal you were to Skye. You passed."

"You...knew about that?"

"Don't insult my intelligence, Agent Ward."

"Of course not."

"Right, well, we are here for a few more hours. Why don't you take Skye out for dinner? She's pretty mad at my friend right now. But she isn't going to know that truth about this mission, right?"

"Right, sir."

At dinner that night, Skye ranted about Alexia. The whole time. And on any other day under any other conditions, Ward might have been annoyed. But this time, he couldn't help himself.

He smiled.

"...and then she just-what? What's so funny?"

"Nothing. Just thinking of how much I love you."

"Aw, Robot. I love you too."
