A Little Walk
Summary: Alpha Pair. Sanada and Yukimura walk home together. What happens between them?
-------
At the bus stop, Sanada and Yukimura disembarked from the bus one after the other. They had just come from Rikkai to secure a few forms for tomorrow's training. The sun was high and blazing down on the pair as they began their walk down the sidewalk in the direction of Sanada's house. The two had agreed to settle themselves there for the rest of the day.
Tucked under Sanada's arm was an umbrella he had brought along in case of rain. Yukimura, on the other hand, had a light travel bag hanging from his shoulder. A few steps down the sidewalk, both felt the heat from the sun.
"Maybe you should open your umbrella for us, Sanada," Yukimura suggested.
Sanada nodded, taking off his cap and placed it nonchalantly on Yukimura's head before pulling out the umbrella and pressed the button as it automatically opened up before he positioned it over their heads.
Yukimura, stunned for a split second at the gesture, adjusted the cap on his head before chuckling to himself.
"Something wrong, Yukimura?" Sanada inquired with a frown and a crease of his eyebrows.
Yukimura brought a hand up to his mouth, a faint chuckle escaping him as he shook his head. "Ah, it's nothing, Sanada."
Silence passed between them, save for a few people handing out fliers or selling one thing or another before Sanada spoke.
"…Yukimura."
"Yes, Sanada?" Yukimura asked innocently.
"My hat, if you will," the vice-captain requested, reaching out for the black cap as Yukimura playfully stepped one space to the left during their walk.
"Let me savor the moment, Sanada," Yukimura requested, holding the bill of the cap. "You rarely take it off and I prefer it much more if you kept it off like old times."
A faint blush fell on Sanada's cheeks as they turned a corner to the stoic boy's house. In the midst of his thoughts, Yukimura further distracted him by tiptoeing and pecking him on the cheek.
"Let's enjoy the afternoon, Sanada," Yukimura chimed, Sanada nodding in agreement.
