Perpetual Motion
By Any Unborn Child
To Syaoran, Sakura had one of the purest hearts that he knew. Her smile could brighten a whole room full of pessimistic people in an instant. It wouldn't be just because of the fact that she smiled. It would have been because that smile was genuine, because that smile came from the heart, and emanated all the goodness from that heart, the heart being Sakura's.
It would be very difficult not to be transfixed by that smile, at least in Syaoran's opinion. Oftentimes, when Sakura smiled around him, whether it was a big smile or a little smile, he found himself staring at the smile that graced her features because it was just so authentic. He found himself transported to another world, a world where suddenly everything became clear, where everything became possible, and became hopeful. Just because of the smile that she displayed so lovingly.
Sakura was everything to him. She was his whole world. He couldn't imagine his life without her.
Syaoran never wanted to lose her – not again.
Not again.
Seeing that smile was what kept him going. It was what kept him filled with hope – it was what made him strong.
He had to protect her no matter what. Even if it got him his own life.
The perpetual motion of his heart would propel him to fulfilling his duty, his duty and his personal wish to protect Sakura no matter what the cost may be.
The perpetual motion brought on by Sakura's smile.
