Hi! Two in one day! You lucky ducks :D The computer in the library works so much better at uploading than mine does! Hope you all like this, another humourous little 221B short. This was inspired by another of KCS's sentences.

Diclaimer: I do not own Holmes or Watson! *droops head*

#46 – Drive
When Watson's new motor-car broke down and forced him to stay at the cottage two days longer, he was only too glad to spend the extra time with Holmes; though he might not have been so pleased had he discovered the handful of wires stuffed in the detective's desk-drawer.

"Holmes!" I called as I hung up the telephone. The past few decades of Holmes' company had unfortunately converted me to the fact that going to find someone was superfluous when bellowing throughout the house did just as well. And truthfully, in a cottage as small as this one, it made little difference. I continued.

"The repair man can be here tomorrow morning, and I'll have to leave after that. My practice is going to be flooded." While speaking I gathered up the numerous pillows that accompanied our impromptu sleep over last night. We had both dropped off by the fire while perusing old casebooks; just talking, as we seldom had before.

I smiled. Perhaps it was a good thing my motor car broke. I glanced upwards, where Holmes had disappeared to.

"Holmes, did you hear me?" I called again, rummaging through the papers on the desk. "Where the deuce is my journal?" I muttered to myself, patting the pockets of my coat. I pulled open the front drawer, and paused in bemusement.

There was a tangle of wires that looked suspiciously like the inside of my vehicle's engine. I had opened it pretending I knew what I was looking at. They matched exactly, and I didn't need to be a detective to infer a certain beekeepers involvement.

"Holmes!" I bellowed.

Haha, uh oh! Holmes is in trouble! I don't have set plans for continuing this, but if I get urges to (hint hint) I may *grins* Tell me what you thought!
