New York City
-Come on Martha, a quick visit to Broadway and then straight to the Tardis! - Shouted a strange man who was wearing a long brown coat.
-No rush, I'm coming! - giggled the girl following him.
The sidewalks were full of people. Everyone was in a rush. Everyone had somewhere to go.
But there were two people, a young couple, they were standing motionless hand in hand, .
They had stopped in the middle of the crowd and stood staring curiously at the man in the coat.
The girl was very thin, she had her bright red hair in a bun.
She opened her eyes and clung tightly to the arm of what looked like to be her husband.
-Doctor! Wait! - Cried the girl who was struggling to keep up with the man in the coat.
-Oh my God, that's him.- murmured the the red haired girl, without taking her eyes off the odd couple that was fast approaching.
-Amy, wait, he doesn't know who we are.- whispered the boy in her ear -Not yet ... - he stroked her hair gently kissing her forehead.
Amy turned to her husband with a sad look on her face -I know, Rory. I know-
A few moments later, the Doctor bumped into them.
-Oh, I'm mortified! - said the man smiling. The young couple smiled back; they were both visibly tense.
-You look so different- whispered the girl with red hair staring at the Doctor straight in the eyes. Those eyes were really big and really dark compared to the eyes she knew so well.
The Doctor raised his eyebrows in surprise.
-Do I know you? -
Amy hesitated as her eyes fell on the sonic screwdriver that was sticking out of the coat's pocket.
-Oh, I do not think so, sir.- said Rory giving his best smile. He was still embarrassed.
Amy smiled at the Doctor's companion who seemed slightly confused.
-Well…goodbye, then! - exclaimed the man, grasping Martha's hand ready to resume the rush.
-See you soon Raggedy Doctor! - said the red haired girl.
The Doctor turned back surprised with his eyes wide opened, but the crowd had already engulfed the young couple.
He was no longer able to find them.
