Disclaimer: I do not own Glee or any of the characters. I don't profit in any way from this, except for lovely reviews which are always appreciated.
Story: This is just one dedicated to my love of Finchel and the amazingness of Rachel Berry's character, infinite love for that girl! Rated M for some sexual content, to be on the safe side. Set shortly after season 2 but recalls moments from everything previous and bits in between I imagined.
N.B. I am British but I opted to write "Mom" instead of "Mum" on this occasion because Glee is an American show and that's how they all say it.
Things Finn Hudson loves about Rachel Berry
The simple joy on her face when she's talking about Barbra Streisand, or something else she adores. She starts making all these spinning hand gestures, and a spark lights her eyes. Finn's never been very good at sitting and listening, but he loves to watch Rachel talk; hear the musical sound of her voice rising and falling. He feels really connected to her, even when he doesn't always understand what she's talking about.
The way she bites down on her bottom lip and her mouth quirks up in a smile whenever he compliments her.
The way she places her hand out in a kind of invisible stop sign when she's hitting a high note in Glee club.
Her hair. It feels impossibly soft whenever he strokes it when she's cuddling up to him, and the way it bounces when she walks. It smells faintly of strawberry shampoo. He also loves the way her fringe falls into her eyes.
The ridiculously convincing, utterly hot way she played "naughty schoolgirl" for him when he suggested it one time. It's rare that he now goes a day without remembering the breathy way she whispered in his ear "Are you going to punish me for being a bad girl, Mr. Hudson?"
The day he told her that his Mom wasn't feeling too well and when she came over to his house she brought some yellow flowers and a magazine with her to give to her. When she left, his Mom said to him "You want to hang on to that one Finn, she's special."
The way she called him a hunk the first time he took his shirt off in front of her, and continued to do so because she knew he felt insecure. And the way he could tell from her expression that she always meant it too.
The way her soft brown eyes always warm whenever she sees him.
The way she grinds her hips up into him when they make out, and moans his name when he's touching her just right.
The cute little texts she always sends him before football matches, wishing him luck if she can't make it herself to cheer him on.
The fact she made him a birthday card covered in gold stars because she spent hours searching in the shops and couldn't find one nice enough for him, she'd said.
The time he woke up in the middle of the afternoon to find Rachel sleeping beside him on his bed, and when he went to wake her up she said his name in her sleep, smiling.
The way she had so selflessly told him what corsage he should get Quinn, and he knew even as he was buying it deep down that it was Rachel he should be buying it for really.
The fact his name in her phone has a loveheart next to it.
The time she baked brownies for him and was so overjoyed to see he liked them that he ate every one just to see her gorgeous smile, even though it gave him terrible stomach ache later for eating them all.
