Prologue
"Mister Obama. The petition just hit 100,000 signatures."
Barack Obama got up from his chair and looked out the window of the Oval Office. He closed his eyes. He thought about everything. Michelle. Sasha. Malia. How was he going to tell them he just got fired? Barack spoke without turning around.
"Call Eric Schmidt for me. Tell him congratulations."
Chapter 1
The year was 2034. America has been under the power of Google for the last twenty years. Everything was really good. Coders were respected as leaders, and given special privileges over the non-coders (aka "Untouchables"). Every car was self-driven, and every coder wore Google Glass. The singularity was scheduled to occur in seven days. Coders were coding extra hard in preparation.
The CEO of America, Eric Schmidt, looked out from the window of the Googal Office. His mind buzzed and his eyes flicked from screen to screen to the screen on his Glass. He moved stuff around on the screen with his hands. Data. Technology. Cybernetic wire. Electro hacking. Eric was coding at an insane pace. But something was wrong. There was a bug in the code.
"Damn it looks like there are still some tech haters living in the caves outside Neo Francisco. We need to send our best coder to hacktivize a solution to disrupt them."
Eric pressed a button and linked into the network. Someone picked up on the other end.
"Justine. You're the best coder we got. Your country – sorry, I mean corporation – needs you."
Justine cyber nodded.
"Together we code."
"Together we code."
