Chapter 1- A Turquoise Bikini, a Walkman and an Unwelcome Guest

It is the summer and Ginny Weasley is stuck at home surrounded by her overprotective brothers yet again. Fred and George are busy perfecting their latest gadgets, which at the moment consist of new pills which when taken cause the victim's tanning to form rather rude words. Ginny who was desperately trying to obtain an even tan was splayed on the grass donning a turquoise bikini.

Desperate to drown out to incessant noises of her two eccentric brothers she had looted through her dad's muggle gadgets and had found something that hse had leaned about in muggle studies. It was a walkman, having used this for a few days she wondered how she had lived so long without one.

Inside was a 'cd' with numerous acoustic songs and great 'rock' tracks as her father had proudly told her. These songs appealed to her yearning heart as she craved a guy. Her brothers had successfully driven away any possible suitors that she might have landed. As a typical 17 year old her hormones controlled her every waking thought and action. They say that guys think about sex, on average every 6 seconds, let just put it like this: if Ginny was a guy she was way above average.

Lost in deep thoughts, or more like wishful fantasies, Ginny sunbathed in harmony. That was until she suddenly felt cooler. Craving the suns rays and heat she opened her eyes. Some idiot was blocking her sunlight and casting a shadow. She was unable to make out who it was as they inclined their head; obviously to look at her. While she was squinting in a rather ungainly fashion it slowly dawned on her who it was. Harry Potter had come to stay for the summer. However he had had some problems with his Aunt and Uncle so he was joining them a week or so into the holidays.

Feeling rather uncomfortable she made to stand up. As she did so she felt increasingly self conscience.

'Hi' she said dismissively' would you mind moving'.

Harry didn't say anything instead he just finished surveying her then ruffled up the back of his hair, looked around and at that Rons voice could be heard booming over the field and he turned and swaggered off in that direction.

Sure Harry was 'The infamous Boy Who Lived' but as such he had slept with almost all the girls in his year, so Ginny had heard and he always carried himself withan air of superiority. He was spectacular quidditch player and almost all of the girls in the school gazed after him as he passed them in the corridors. His scruffy hair and green eyes sent girls wild. Ginny's friends always talked about him hoping to be in for a chance, however Harry was known to not even look at a girl younger than him. However for all of his charms and good looks Ginny always thought of him as an arrogant twat. As such the two of them rarely had any contact and of what they did have it was more of snappy comments and snide remarks, generally at each others expense.

And now Ron had to go and invite him to stay for the summer. This was sure going to be interesting.
