I don't remember anything before the stone angel. I have no clue where I was but I know that that angel had been following me. There are flashes of the terror I felt while escaping from the monster. It kept moving, stone isn't supposed to move, why was it moving? Now I'm standing in the middle of the desert, cold despite the heat and I'm crying. Do I usually cry? I don't know, I can't remember. Am I strong? Weak? What's my name? Who am I?

I start to walk still cold and shaking. I'm so afraid. The flat sand seems endless wavering with heat and a horizon just the same as the meter in front of me. I'm rambling, not listening to myself but subconsciously recording it in an attempt to decipher it, to understand what has happened. But I really don't know what I am saying. But there is one thing that keeps on repeating.

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

Who is he? Or what? What is this Doctor? Why is he important?

Sally Sparrow pushed back her hair and stopped. She had been walking for hours despite the exhaustion that had been plaguing her since she had gotten here. She wasn't spitting out the foreign words any more, and wasn't trying to remember but had sunk into a nothingness white noise filling her ears. Sally sat down, well, fell down and closed her eyes.

In the night, the dreams came.

There were words on the wall… Sally Sparrow? Who is she? But the words, which were already sinister, were twisting, into terrible heart wrenching sentences… the angels were approaching, she was pushing up against the wall screaming in pure horror, a voice was saying "don't blink!" but her eyelids were shutting, opening, the angel was right there…mouth open wide and eyes blank…

She opened her eyes breathing hard, did that happen? Or was it just her mind playing tricks? Sally sparrow lay down.

She didn't close her eyes.

The sun rose and she still lay there, blinking only when it was necessary and only after she checked that no angels were watching over her. Sometime in the early morning the white noise started to go away and she started thinking again. She wished she wouldn't, but Sally couldn't bear to sleep and there wasn't anything to do. But she couldn't find anything to truly think about and just kept on resaying.

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

She stood and started walking again.

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

The horizon kept steady. She kept walking.

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

Flashes of what she remembered whipped through her head.

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

"Doctor?"

Sally Sparrow dropped exhausted to the floor. She wanted to keep going but couldn't. She had to save him. She had lost Kathy (Kathy?) and there was that man… It wasn't the Doctor, she knew somehow. She tried to remember but kept hitting that brick wall.

"DOCTOR!"

The words ripped out of her throat with such intensity she knew that she couldn't do it again.

But she didn't need to. A strange mechanical otherworldly sound started to rush through her ears. Sally looked around and saw a blue box coming in and out of focus. Before it latched onto the dessert floor Sally Sparrow collapsed whispering,

"Doctor"

"Doctor"

"Doctor"
