Hello again and welcome to DC's funhouse.
Another song-fic because I've become that obsessed.
Beta-d by none other then the wonderful spncsifreak.
I own Max Carrigan and Jude Feeney...
really is it too much to ask for a little sanity anymore?
Words are flying out like
endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass
They slip away across the universe
Before Jude left Liverpool, he had a brief stint of inspiration.
He wrote songs. Everything from Molly, to how much he hated the place he lived.
After he got to New York, that inspiration turned toward drawing and painting.
He never gave up on the songs, though.
He always scribbled down little things whenever inspiration struck him.
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy
Are drifting thorough my open mind
Possessing and caressing meThis was one of those days.
Jude hates these kinds of days.
Days when you can't shake the feeling like there's something wrong.
Back when he was in Liverpool, Jude wouldn't go to work on days like this.
But here, in New York, he didn't have a work to go to.
Max never had those days. He always smiled.
Everyday, Jude was greeted with a smile and a sweet, 'Jude, get the hell up!'

Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing changed at that house.
The apartment stayed the same as it always was.
Well, except for the bloom of something sweet.
A quick kiss here, a small hug there, and they established a relationship.
Jude even wrote about it.
More then songs, more then music. He wrote out his life.
His life as he thought it should be.
With Max, from the beginning.
Images of broken light
Which dance before me like a million eyes
That call me on and on across the universe
Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box
They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universeJude had thought about it, of course.
He thought about whether life would have been easier if Max and he had started this thing from the beginning.
Nothing better then what they had now came to mind.
Isn't there an old saying?
'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
Their courting went to hell and back a couple times.
Perhaps those things made everything even better.

Nothing's gonna change my worldSometimes, if Jude wasn't holed up in his studio, and Max wasn't working, they would sit on the couch.
Sit there and talk about all those wonderful times that they had.
Once in a while, Vietnam or Liverpool came up.
Both men had courage enough to face their demons.
Max's head wasn't right afterward, but, somehow, it was getting there.
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
Nothing's gonna change my world
