"Please Rae. Open your door. We need to talk." I had tried so hard. I didn't mean to call her empty.

"We don't need to talk about anything. I'm too empty. Sorry." She opened the door a crack to say that but quickly tried to close it again. That split second was long enough for me to get my hand into her doorway. "Would you please remove your hand?" It was more of a demand than a question. Even as she slammed the door into my hand I still kept it there, not wanting to give it up.

"Just let me talk to you." She tried closing the door again, slamming it hard on my fingers. "Please Rae?"

"You just don't know when to give up to you?" This one was a question even if it was rather exasperated. I shook my head, a goofy smile taking over my face. She opened the door so I could see her. "Talk." I quickly wrapped my arms around the girl. She stiffened at my touch, and I knew that only had a short window before she would shove me away.

"Don't be fooled by your emptiness. It just leaves more room for happiness."I pulled back and looked into her eyes. She looked like a deer caught in head lights but I could see something swimming deep in the clear violet. It was then that I took the biggest risk in my life. I leaned in and pressed my lips against hers. She didn't react at first but it wasn't long before she returned the kiss. Everything was golden until an explosion came from her bedroom. She pulled away eyes wide as a blush took over her face.

"It's okay." I said, cupping her cheek in my palm. I then leaned in for a second kiss, completely expecting her to push me away. When she didn't I knew I had gotten through to her. There was room for happiness after all.
