A nice day for a wedding

Oneshot

Illyrio Mopatis admired the food that was prepared by the servants. Everything had to be perfect for Khal Drogo or else his city would have to bribe the Dothraki with a lot of gifts to get them to leave...and that is always too bloody expensive for his taste.

He walked beside the tables filled with a myriad of delicious food, sampling from everything a bit...the boiled swan eggs were especially delicious, though the crocodile stakes with peppers were also not to ignore. Food, it was one of the last pleasures in life that still remained to him...

The fat merchant cleaned his fingers after indulging himself on the dry plumes and looked through the window. His employs were hastily setting everything up for the festivity.

He was very fortunate to have persuaded the Targaryan prince into giving his sister and only living kin to the dothraki warlord. Not only were the Targayan's now indebted to him, but also Drogo's khalassar...and for almost no cost to himself whatsoever.

Well, there were those three dragon eggs he will give the girl as a present but since the other wealthy merchants have given up some lucrative trade deals for him to get rid of the dothraki, it made more than up for it.

The fat merchant walked to the assembled crowd, most of the servants of some sort but with a good number of professional entertainers.

He was tempted to sample some more of the delicacy's that were brought out of the kitchen when he spotted the two foreign wedding planers.

"Ah, there you are" said Illyrio jovially, his hands placed on his over sized belly "I trust everything is in order?"

The two men nodded "Yes, everything is in place for the wedding. We now only have to wait for the groom to arrive."

"Good, good, we don't want the wedding to be boring" mused the merchant as he stroked his oily, forked beard "after the wedding ceremony is done I will give you the promised gold. Now if you would excuse me, I have to trade a few words with the the rightful king of Westeros. "

Once the fat merchant left the room one of the wedding planers turned to the musicians "You heard the man, make the performance interesting" said Walder Frey.

Roos didn't say a word as he spotted the riders in the distance "This will be a wedding to remember..." he then turned to Walder and the musicians "The Rains of Castamere?"

Walder smiled "Of course. So any news on your part?"

Roose nodded "I will have to pass a message to the Targaryan boy when the wedding ends."

Walder was practically jumping from joy "I hope he takes the message to heart, so many younglings don't listen very well nowadays's."

"So true" replied Roose as he excused himself.

There was a lot to do and he was a very busy man, so many weddings and so little time.

THE END

A/N:

What can I say, I really don't like the Targaryan's. Reading/Watching Dany fumble through her story was a pain in the neck, especially her sense of entitlement gets on my nerves.

She basically gets things for free (army's, dragons, followers), and I would very much like to see a Red Wedding second edition with her in the front rows.

The only three good endings in the series that would make me actually happy are:

White Walkers win – everyone dies (I'm an undead fan so...)

Bolton's win – because why choose the lesser evil (not in the books though).

Euron Greyjoy wins – because...well, simply because. Hope we see him in the show.

Tyrell's win – they seem competent enough without any magic trickery, and the Queen

Of Thorns is awesome.
