Chapter One: Tenacious Ways
Her heeled feet smacked against the cobal stone of the main strip of Magnolia. Being twenty-three, her hair is longer than it was when she was sixteen.
The tree limbs above her begin rustling. The sound of the leaves blowing in the wind makes a beautiful symphony that is more enticing than anything on the planet. As if the trees are the first to say hello and to welcome her home. The wind softly caresses her face. While her long sunlight blond hair flows in the direction the wind is blowing. Which is east.
Her long hair reaches the back of her calves. While her bangs cover her eyes and reaches the bottom of her chin. She has been a way from the guild for, four years in counting. Two years of that time was spent on the One Hundred Year Quest with team Natsu. For the other two years was spent with Mavis on Tenrou Island to learn to control her new found abilities she received with that final battle on that quest. Though she found Aquarius. That's not what is bothering her. It's how she was tortured by a celestial dragon slayer. Though she won't let anyone know. Goodness even the mere thoughts she blocks out still. It's one of the reasons her eyes have been covered. To protect herself and to protect everyone else.
As she was looking at the stars in the night sky. She recognizes that it's a new moon tonight. Making the stars shine even brighter. She uses the constellations to guide her way. Finally looking down she realizes she has made it in front of the guild. Her hand hesitates to touch the door. She wonders aloud to herself, "Will they remember me? Have I been forgotten?"
As she gathers her courage she finally pushes the door open.
A loud squeeking noise is heard as it is a cry for oil. The silence causes her to feel that guild is yet abandoned. silently she askes Horologium what time it is.
He answers in her mind: "It has just turned 3 AM miss Lucy when you opened the guild doors."
She silently nods. When she walks through the guild seeing the empty chairs she feels the need to whimper for not seeing her friends in them. She knows they turned in for bed hours ago. But it doesnt stop the burning need to see a welcoming face.
As she walks up the stairs timidly. She finds herself making her way to the already litted office belonging to Master. She is troubled by the papers Macarov has to sign. She finally raps on the door frame to get his attention. "Im back master!"
