Hey everyone! I know it's been a super long time since I wrote a GMW fan fiction and I'm so sorry! School and life in general has been so busy and I never got a break. I wrote this Rilaya fanfic during my thanksgiving break and just wanted to share it with you guys! The whole thing might not make sense at all, but that's okay. Let me know what you guys think about it in the comments! Also, tell me if you want another story, with anything GMW related that you choose. Hope you enjoy!
Maya always had the sun. While others walked around in dark clouds, wondering if their sun would ever show up, Maya stared at the sun right in front of her, pondering how she became so lucky. Her sun never left her, never doubted her, never gave up on her. Riley's light was so bright, it erased the pain in Maya's heart. Maya needed her sunshine for it was the only thing keeping her alive.
The sun can't shine forever, though. Riley's light was giving out. All the stress of broken hearts she left behind was catching up to her and Riley was losing the light. Maya didn't want her to lose the light, she needed her sun. As the sun went down, darkness rose up, filling the cracks of Maya's world with panic and distress. She refused to give up. She turned into the moon, the brightness at night and came to the sun's rescue. She used all her love and hoped that maybe, just maybe, the light would come back if Riley knew Maya's true feelings.
I love you, Riley. With all my heart. You bring light to my life. You make me whole. Without you, I would be in complete darkness.
Maya went without the sun for days, using her own moon light to keep herself from the darkness. Others may have worried and started to find another sun, but Maya knew better. She knew her light would always come back to her. And that's exactly what Riley did. She came back in brighter, yellow colors, rays streaming and heat radiating off of her. There was nowhere else the sun would rather be.
I love you too, Maya. I love you so much.
Together the moon and the sun brought light and twinkled like stars in the night. Together, they brought each other out of the darkness. Together, they made each other whole.
