Prologue

"I see you have found new prey." The female demon stated rather dryly.

"So have you." The male demon replied politely.

The female demon glared at him, her arms crossed over her chest. "What name has it given you?"

"Young Master Ciel Phantomhive has christened me with the name Sebastian Michaelis," Sebastian said and added with a smile. "Please refrain from calling him it."

The female demon shrugged. "As you wish, Sebastian Michaelis."

"And how may I call you now, ma'am?" Sebastian asked, more wary of her presence then amused.

"My last long time meal had called me Rosemary Jones, that should do for now." Rosemary said with little enthusiasm. "You haven't asked me yet why I'm here, Sebastian."

The now butler turned, his smile gone. It had only been a week since the contract was made between him and the young master, and Sebastian had hoped he had more time befor this. "I'm not going to mate with you at this moment, Rosemary."

"You have been saying that for the passed hundred and forty years," Rosemary said and closed the distance between them easily. Her light pink curls still floating in the air from the lightening fast movement. She circled her arms around his neck and drew him closer. "I'm growing inpatient." She whispered in his ear.

Sebastian took her arms in his and removed them from his neck so he could straighten himself.

"I'm not going to mate with you at this moment, Rosemary." He repeated himself, but something of his darkness slipped through the cracks of his perfect face. "I must ask you to leave the estate at once."

Like him, her blue eyes turned red, the pupils mere slits. Rosemary and Sebastian stood like that for a long moment. She challenging him to try to get rid of her and him warning her not to push her demonic luck.

"Fine." Rosemary sighed and retrieved her arms from his hands. "My prey is waiting for me anyway." She announced turning on her heel and walking over to one of the many windows and opened it silently. But before she stepped out to disappear into the night, she looked at him with a smile and said. "I'll come back in a couple a years or so and you better mate with me then, Sebastian."

"Perhaps." He said when she was already gone and closed the window behind her, a sly smirk on his lips.
