As the silver haired agent watched the brunette at his side he couldn't help but think of an apple. An apple whether it be bright and green or dark red was commonly forbidden in literature. Snow white with her dark black hair and ruby red lips didn't have to take a bite of that apple. It was something you grew up knowing not to do, take food from a stranger, but because of that she took the apple. Because it was forbidden. The young girl they had brought in last week, had carried a dark black book with an apple in a set of pale hands on the cover. He had asked her why to keep her thoughts off of her mom who had just disappeared.

"What's the book about?" He had asked.

"Vampires." Had been her simple reply.

"Why the apple on the cover then, are they vegetarians or something?"

The young blonde had laughed.

"They are actually," she had started, "but the apple represents the forbidden fruit…you know like in Snow White. The vampire falls in love with a human. Their relationship is forbidden."

The gray haired agent had bobbed his head to show he was listening.

That scenario reminded him a lot of his current relationship, his current fascination. It too was forbidden not only by the company they worked for but by the rules he himself had made his team follow. A boss should not have a relationship with his co-worker. The man took the hand of the brunette at his side and she looked up at him with a quizzical expression. He leaned down to wispier in her ear.

"You, Katie, are my forbidden fascination."

The brunette had smiled and stood up on her toes to more easily reach his ear.

"As long as I'm yours."
