Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or Baha'u'llah's quote.
Summary: "So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth." Ron/Harry/Hermione drabble. "They were beautiful."
Illumination By Unity
I was a photographer at the funeral. Nothing else. I was not a friend, lover, relative or acquaintance. I saw the world through my camera lens, but I can also see people.
I could see that the bride-to-be of an engaged couple was a beautiful person, and would be even if she hadn't been part Veela. The groom was scarred, but now, with her, he seemed whole.
There were so many souls to get to know, gentles ones, eccentric ones, but three specific persons caught my interest more so than anybody else.
I learned their names, but it didn't really matter, because even without names they were beautiful.
Not separately though. Now that doesn't mean they were horrible or anything, but Hermione's hair was too bushy and her soul could be fake at times. Ron's body was gangly, and his soul had big wholes of insecurity. Harry was skinny and his soul seemed to be foolhardy from time to time.
Suddenly I turned randomly, and that's when I saw them all; standing together, a good length away from everybody else.
They were beautiful.
When those three were united, a love that seemed to be beyond both primal passion and friendship made them glow. They emitted a warm, comforting shade of burnt orange.
How they all seemed to complete each other in one way or another was extraordinary.
They were beautiful.
And as I stood like that, a quiet spectator simply noticing the way their souls connected, twisting and twirling together, they suddenly made me realize the title of my photo-series.
"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth."
A/N: So I've become quite fond of drabbles. I hope you all like this one, and will please review!
