Title: Nuriko
There are seven stars in the Chinese chart,
The stars in the South are among the best,
Nuriko, the star that captured my heart,
A warrior, the best among the seven rest.
His shoulder-length hair shines in the dark night sky,
Azure blue like the daylight sky,
With violet eyes and lips so fine,
With a big heart made him so kind.
A tie in the past so important to him,
In Nuriko's heart no one could replace,
Each day, each night, there's a hope in a dream,
Over the mountains, so far he gazed.
A sister's love he had been longing for,
Gone, taken by the angel of light,
In her place he live to remember her,
The one and only that made his life bright.
Then came girl from the other world,
Cheerful and kind and happy always,
The maiden of Suzaku she was called,
Made him realize one important thing.
He shouldn't change to keep her alive,
He shouldn't change to keep her memories,
As long she is still in his heart,
She'll always be within him,
In dreams and memories.
Nuriko sat on the cherry blossom tree by the river as he watched the sun sets. He closed his eyes, enjoying the evening breeze as it blew his shoulder-length hair back.
"Kohrin," Nuriko said. "I miss you so much." Then, Nuriko opened his eyes. "But even though I miss you, I'm willing to let you go."
Nuriko chuckled. "If anyone sees me talking to myself, they'll must think I'm crazy."
Nuriko looked at the sky and said, "Even though you're not here, Kohrin but the wind shall bring my voice to you."
Nuriko leaned on the tree, watching the orange sky and the setting sun. Then, he heard a rustling noise from the leaves of the tree.
"Huh?" Nuriko said.
Then, Miaka, the maiden of Suzaku appeared on the tree. She sat next to Nuriko.
"Hello, Nuriko," Miaka said. "I was searching for you everywhere."
"Hey," Nuriko replied. "Why?"
"No reasons," Miaka answered. "I was just feeling bored."
"Where's Tamahome?" Nuriko asked.
"My guess is," Miaka said, "he went to town to make money."
"That's so typical Tamahome," Nuriko said.
"So, tell me, Nuriko," Miaka said. "What are you doing up here?"
"I was talking to Kohrin," Nuriko answered.
"Huh?" Miaka said. "But Kohrin's not here."
"The wind shall bring my voice to wherever she is," Nuriko said.
"I guess that's true," Miaka said.
"Well, the other reason I sit up here is to watch the sunsets," Nuriko said.
"It is beautiful," Miaka said, looking at the sunset.
"Kohrin loves the sunset," Nuriko said. "That's why I will always come here and look at the sunset. It'll be easier for me to let Kohrin go."
"I guess," Miaka said. "When one dies, they won't leave you. They will always be in your heart."
"Thanks," Nuriko said.
"What are friends for?" Miaka replied.
Both friends smiled and continued watching the sunset.
