My Headcanon
AKA, Didn't I tell you?
Starring Bonbon, Lyra Heartstrings, and Trixie Lulamoon
Bonbon had no idea what to make of the crying, blue unicorn on her doorstep. "Um, can I help you?", she asked.
The unicorn looked up tearfully. "M-my sister lives here, right?"
Bonbon cocked her head, confused. "Um, it's just me and Lyra..."
"Lyra, yes.", the unicorn affirmed. "I want to see her."
"I didn't know Lyra had a sister.", Bonbon commented as she let the mare in. "Lyra!", she called. "Your sister is here.
Lyra hurried down the stairs, gaping at the sobbing unicorn on the couch. She ran to hug her. "Trixie! You didn't tell me you were in Ponyville! What's wrong?"
Trixie shook her head mournfully. "S-sorry. I was just passing through, and I guess I was being a little full of myself again, this mare, Twilight Sparkle, I think, showed me up and these little punks summoned an Ursa Minor, and..."
"Wait, an Ursa Minor?", Lyra asked. "How much were you gloating, exactly. I thought I told you to cut it out with the Ursa Major story."
Trixie suddenly stood up. "You might me older than me, but you still aren't my boss.", she insisted.
Bonbon watched the pair argue from afar, and couldn't help but ask something. "Lyra, why haven't you ever mentioned your sister before? Or any of your family, for that matter?"
"Didn't I tell you about her?" Lyra turned to her roommate and smiled sadly. "No? Well, you see, Trixie ran away from home to become a traveling magician a few years ago, so I don't see much of her. And my younger sister, Violet, isn't exactly always on good terms with me."
"Would it be too much to ask why?"
"Not at all. She just thinks my Human-obsession is silly and I'm waisting my life.", Lyra explained. "Well, that's what she says, at least. I think she's just afraid I'll disappear while looking for them."
Bonbon was even more confused. "Why would she think that?"
"That's what happened to our mom.", Trixie blurted. "She was an Anthropologist, the best in Equestria."
"And then, one day, she was called to an archeological dig to investigate an artifact that looked possibly Human.", Lyra continued sadly. "And she never came home."
"I-I'm so sorry. I never knew.", Bonbon apologized.
Lyra shook her head. "Don't worry. I've had five years to accept it. It's not easy, but I'm fine."
"I ran away right after that. I thought showing the world my magic would make things better.", Trixie added. "And I guess while I was gone Lyra and Violet fell out."
Bonbon recalled meeting the eccentric mare when she'd moved in. Two years ago, yet it seemed like yesterday. She was always so cheerful, yet surely she'd been dealing with the loss of her mother and sisters.
"I'd better get back on the road. I should have been headed to Fillydelphia by now.", Trixie commented.
As she started away, Bonbon stopped her. "No, stay for a while. I'm making Dumpling Soup for dinner if you want to stay."
Trixie's eyes welled up with tears as she turned around. "I'd love to."
AN- And that's my demented/depressing headcanon! It's all my idea, as far as I know. I hope you liked it. This is a slight prequel to another fic I'm writing in due time. Thanks for reading! :D -KawaiiJoltic
