I
have a smile We meet at the lights Just you and me
Stretched from ear to ear
To see you walking down
the road
I stare for a while
The
world around disappears
On this island of
hope
A breath between us could be miles
I walk down the hall with my group of fellow smarties, and see you coming towards me. I quickly cover up any smile that should come to my face, and put on a bored expression.
You flounce right up to me and give me an award winning snarl. "Move it, geeks, you're breathing my air!" You bark out in your scariest voice.
I give you a sneer back and expertly roll my eyes. "Back off, princess, you're wasting my time!" I shoot back, then side step you before I start laughing and continue down the hall.
Let me surround you
My
sea to your shore Oh and every
time I'm close to you
Let me be the calm you seek
There's too much I can't say
And
you just walk away
I shuffle through the hallway, clutching a note in my hand, seeking you out subtly and feel my heart explode when I see you just standing there looking perfect as usual.
I put on my best indifferent face and stride towards you as you look up and see me. You give me an ice melting smirk and strut your way at me as well.
I brush against your shoulder, while slipping you a note when no one is looking then pretend to recoil in disgust. You step back, feigning horror and pretend to brush dirt off your clothes, while I readjust the books in my arms.
You give me a glare and a hidden wink and toss your hair, then flounce away. I turn around as well and return to my path down the hall.
And
I forgot
To tell you
I love you
And the night's
Too
long
And cold here
Without you
I grieve in my condition
For
I cannot find the strength to say I need you so
Oh
and every time I'm close to you
There's too much I can't
say
And you just walk away
After theatre, you ditch your brother and double back to our table outside. I pretend to be studying while really counting the seconds until I hear you approaching.
I look up into your beautiful eyes and watch your hair bask in the sunlight, then close my books and rise so that I'm level with you.
"Sharpay." I say smoothly. "Taylor." You reply just as silkily, then lean down and touch your perfect lips to mine and I finally feel at ease.
And
I forgot
To tell you
I love you
And the night's
Too
long
And cold here
Without you
Just something that came to me while I was outside today. Tell me what you liked and disliked about it, because this is my first femslash story. Thank you for reading it! The song is 'I Love You' by Sarah McLachlan.
