I never knew what color was until I saw a man run through my village. He was covered in a garb of something I'd never seen before… something that my friend's distant cousin once told him was called… "green." The name was so intriguing I had to know more, so I went straight to his place to learn more. The details about him were fuzzy, since really all I was focusing on was this concept of Green, but he said his name was Skipper, I believe, and while he was travelling with his three other friends they were in a place where things called "plants" grew, and they were totally Green. I was so fascinated by this that I decided to take my own journey, one that would show me more of this Green, maybe even see some Plants.
I talked to Skipper about how I would go about seeing some Green, and he instructed me to go down a chute. Thinking nothing of it, I opened the hatch and jumped right in, regretting this decision the moment I started falling. After sliding for a good five minutes, I tumbled out of the tunnel and ended up landing on my face. I pushed myself onto my feet, shook my head, spit snow out of my beak, and stared at the contraption before me. "What is this?" I yelled up the tunnel at Skipper, hoping with all my might he could hear me.
"It's a teleportation device, son, I bought it off eBay from a guy called Master Chief," he hollered back.
Hmm. "A teleportation device, huh? That means I can go wherever this thing wants me to…" I murmured, one flipper under my beak in thought.
Feeling very apprehensive about this, I hopped into the light beam thingy and squeezed my eyes shut. There was a very bright flash, which probably would have blinded me if I hadn't had my eyes closed. I heard a clanging noise but decided to ignore it. Then, as suddenly as it had started, it ended. I took a deep breath and stepped forward out of range of the teleporter so it couldn't do anything else to me. I hadn't even opened my eyes yet before I heard a high-pitched squeal of "Look! A penguin!" and something with at least four legs bounding ominously toward me.
