I like Foxface. I really do. And so that's why I decided to make a story about her final moments. Please enjoy. Don't forget to leave a review!

Nightlock

I soundlessly move through the forest in hot pursuit of the boy from District Twelve. I'm in the Hunger Games, and I'm one of the final tributes standing. Even though I am in the Hunger Games, I do not want to kill. I simply want to survive.

For the past few days, I have been snitching tiny bits of food from the boy and girl team from District Twelve. They must be really stupid to not notice all the missing food. Of course, I can't keep this up for forever. I have to find my own food soon.

My stomach rumbles. Ugh... I need more food. I'll starve before I win.

I continue to pursue him for a little while. After a few minutes, he stops at a berry bush and picks a couple of dark berries. Then he moves on.

If I could only get him to drop those berries...

I pursue the boy for a little while longer, trying to ignore the rumbling of my stomach. I need those berries. I need them.

He then stumbles on some rocks and drops some of the berries. Finally! That klutz dropped those berries!

I wait silently for him to move on. Once he is out of sight, I run over to the place where he dropped the berries.

I pick the berries up from the ground and examine them. They're a little squished, and when I pick them up, a particularly squished one oozes red juice all over my hand. The berries resemble blueberries in size and color.

Hmm. These berries don't look familiar, I think. But then my stomach rumbles and I'm to hungry to care about the berries I hold in my hands. I raise the black berries to my mouth...

As soon as the berries touch my tongue, I recoil at the sour taste that explodes in my mouth. But I was willing to put up with sour berries if I was to win.

I swallow a few berries, and suddenly my stomach seizes up in pain. I then realize the berries are poisonous, but now it's too late. The berries have already entered my system. Death soon awaits me.

I collapse on the ground, clutching my stomach, trying to cleanse the horrible taste from my mouth with my shirt. But I know that I'm going to die. I'm very surprised I'm not dead already.

Darkness begins to eat away at my vision. The trees around me begin to blur and fade. I'm dying...

The last thing I hear before darkness overtakes me is the sound of a cannon firing...

What do you think? Good? Bad? Shmeh? I think it's pretty good. But you can tell me what you think in the Review section. Constructive criticism is appreciated!

Anyway, thanks for reading. Have a good day. :)
