Hello everyone. I know you haven't heard from me in a while, so I figured I would break the silence with an update.
I haven't been working on my stories because, to be completely honest, I lost interest in them. I still have the ideas for how they will be done, but not the will nor the motivation to do them.
It's not due to any sort of major life event or anything like that, it's just...
I went through a phase where I was on a rampage through anything and everything anime, particularly anything related to Evangelion. Hence, this is where the inspiration for my stories comes from.
I was obsessed with the characters and stories surrounding them, to the point that I had a severe break-down a while back where, because I had grown so attached to these characters and their world, I became depressed when I was forced to realize that they were not real.
This was actually the genesis of my fanfic writings, this break-down. I thought that if I couldn't see these ideas on the screen, then maybe I could see them in writing.
Over the next couple of years, I wrote a couple of stories (well, one major story that was my main focus and several others that kind of popped into my head), and it helped.
I struggled with the motivation to write from time to time, as I am now, but I always got back to it in the end.
And I am confident that I will do the same this time. It's just taken a little longer than normal.
Rest assured, though, that the stories I have started will not go unfinished. I am setting a goal now to at least have "Promise" finished by the end of August, and to start working on my other stories in September.
I know that there have been a select few people who have followed and supported me since "Promise" first hit the site back in 2011, and it is for you that I am doing this. You deserve to have these stories finished, and by god I am going to do exactly that.
It may take another two years for everything to come together the way I want them to, but I am going to make a concentrated effort to get my writing back in gear.
So, thank you for reading, and I look forward to getting back to my stories soon.
Sincerely,
GunMetalSnail429
