Max's P.O.V
"Hey Max!" Angel called to me. "Yeah." I said looking over to her. We all were sitting near the fire and Angel was sitting on the other side of the fire. "Can you pass me the pot of water?" She asked me. I handed it to her and poured some of the hot water into the wooden cup. "Hey Max." She called again. "Yeah." I said staring at her again. "When can we see your mom again?" She asked. "Yeah we haven't seen her in awhile." Gazzy pointed out. It was true. Last time we saw her was when Nudge was an eraser. "Um….how about tomorrow." I said and everyone shook their heads. "Yeah…I can't wait until we have those cookies!!" Nudge yelled licking her lips. I smiled. Well, my mom did have the best cookies. We continued sitting near the fire. Fang and Nudge next to me on one log and Iggy, Gazzy, Total, and Angel on the other. I bet it sounds like a campfire at a summer camp the way we are sitting but it wasn't easy. Fang had to cut don't one long trunk from a tree and then cut the trunk in half. After, he had to move everything in front of the fire. Even though he had help by the flock he still did most of the work. "Okay Gazzy, Nudge, and Angel. It is time for bed." I said. "Fine" They moaned and Angel picked up Total. They headed into the tent. After about 30 minutes, I could hear Gazzy moaning. "Guys stop talking and go to sleep, Max will get angry." He moaned at Nudge and Angel. I smiled. "That goes for you to Total." He said again. Fang started giggling. "Guys go to sleep" I yelled. "We have a big flight tomorrow." I continued. "I told you Max would get mad." Gazzy whispered. Now Iggy started smiling. Soon enough I heard Total snoring so I knew they all were asleep. I noticed we were running low on water. "Hey guys…I'm going to go get more water." I said and got up. I went over to the rock the size of Mount Everest and jumped off. I unfurled my wings and glided through the night sky. I bet you are asking me why I am flying to the river. Well, first, it is about 25 minutes away, second, it is a lot easier to fly there then run, and third, I really wanted to fly in the sky and stretch my wings out. I zoomed through the night….gliding in the wind. There were millions of stars above me. I stared at each one watching them twinkle. After about 25 minutes, I reached the river and filled the pouch with the clear cold water. I decided to rinse my face with the water in the river. It felt good against my muddy face. I haven't been down near the stream in awhile and each time I went alone I would wash my face. I kept splashing myself over and over. Suddenly, I hear footsteps behind. I zipped around just finding out that it was Fang. "Cleaning yourself?" He asked. "Yeah…it feels really good." I responded. He put his hand in the water and sighed. "What?" I asked. "Nothing" He said and gave me his half smile. I smiled back. "Let's go back." I said. "Wait." He responded and pulled me into the river. "Ahhh" I screamed. "What are you doing?" I asked. He didn't respond. He sighed and started floating. I floated with him. The water felt nice as it swayed through my hair. Suddenly, I felt like I was getting pulled. I leaned up and the water started falling. "Fang get up…there is a water fall." I said and he got up quick. We streamed through the water quickly getting to the grass. We got up and I squeezed the water out of my hair and shirt. He did the same and then we flew up through the air. Once we spotted the camp, we landed. Iggy was still sitting there. "Are you guys wet?" I asked us. "Yeah" I responded. "Why?" He asked us again. "Fang pulled me into the river." I told him again. He laughed. I sat near the fire again and it slowly dried my clothes and hair. Soon enough, I felt sleepy. I crawled into the tent. Iggy and Fang joined me a couple minute later. We all had a long flight tomorrow. We needed rest.
