Jackson and Teddy

"You need to get your head in the game. I know you all went through something, but you were cleared, so you need to get back to work," Teddy said angrily as they finished the current surgery they were on.
"Yes, Dr. Altman," he said quietly, still shaking. He still had the nightmares of the surgery he and Christina had performed on Dr. Shepard, but in these dreams, the patient didn't make it, or everyone got shot but him; or more recently, they involved him being shot last. He left the OR quickly and scrubbed out. Teddy was finishing putting some of her supplies away and saw him practically run out of the scrub room. She rubbed her hands over her face in frustration. She was still pissed about her love life and her last fling with the hospital psychologist. He just left – granted she knew it would happen – but she didn't know how soon, and he didn't leave her any word. She scrubbed out angrily, rubbing her hands practically raw.
All she wanted to do was to go back to her apartment and soak in a nice hot bath, since her shift technically ended an hour ago. Teddy headed back to the locker room and saw that Jackson was already there, halfway through changing into his street clothes. He just had on a pair of jeans. The just looked at each other, and before Teddy could open her mouth and say something, he did.
"I know, I'll be out of your way soon," he said, almost defeated. "But I'm just having a hard time, I just need a little while to get back into things."
"I'm not saying that you're not good," Teddy said, stepping closer. "You just need to have that focus that I saw on the tape."
"What tape?"
"You probably didn't realize that you were in the video OR, and someone didn't turn it off after the last surgery. I saw the entire surgery on Derek."
"Oh my God," he said, collapsing down on the bench just behind him.
"You did good," she said, moving still closer. "Now we just need to take our minds off things for a while."
"We?" he said, looking up at her. She was looking at his chest like he was a piece of meat, which was how most women looked at him, but there was something else there. A hint of sadness. She leaned down and put her hand on his cheek.
"Yeah, we," she said before leaning in for a kiss. It was all he needed to spark his interest. He stood up quickly, tilting her head back quickly and kissing her more forcefully. Teddy was surprised at this bold move, but wasn't discouraged by it. He grabbed her waist and pushed her over to the small bed behind the half wall in the room. Once on the bed, he flipped them so she was on top, and he could take her scrub shirt off. She wasn't as curvy as he was used to, but that didn't mean she didn't have a hot body. It was hot, fast, and hard; ripping clothing and harsh kissing. They didn't linger around afterwards, since they weren't in a locked on-call room. But it was more unspoken that things wouldn't change between them. Somehow, they seemed to be changed from that day forward. Teddy was more relaxed and Jackson was more focused, and impressed the attendings quite a bit more.
