Ruin

By Requiem Duindain

Cold and frigid

Against the heated dampness

Of milky skin

Pressed against an

Alabaster expanse

Taut over a solid mass

The blade of a dagger

To a graceful throat

Invisible but painful

As it drags along a chest

To raw scarlet markings

Worse than wounds

Though no blood spills forth

And no scars remain

Tearful eyes look past

The twisted smile

To gaze upon the starry heavens

Which are witness to the

Ruining of a living angel
