Hey! I'm here with a HSM fic! Dun dun dun. I haven't written one in agesssssss. This idea has been in my head since I watched High School Musical 3, and I watched HSM3 the other day and I figured I might as well write it. It's very short but I hope yo:u enjoy reading anyway :D
Disclaimer: I do not own High School Musical or the characters. Boo. :(
The curtains closed and shut the teens away from the applauding audience. Everyone was giddy, excited that their Senior Musical had been such a success. The students laughed and ran off into different directions, except for one.
Gabriella Montez stood still, feet firmly planted on the stage.
"You coming, Gabriella?" a soft voice and tug of her hand brought her out of her reverie. She turned her head to meet the welcoming eyes of her boyfriend.
"Berkley?" was all she could utter. Troy smiled coyly.
"Yeah."
"Why? I thought it was always your dream to go to U of A, with Chad. To make your Dad proud."
"Exactly!" he said, a bit louder than intended. "To make my Dad proud, to make Chad happy. That dream sort of ended when I met you." Gabriella laughed softly, suddenly feeling shy. "You opened me up to another world of possibilities. And plus; Berkley seems awesome! I can play basketball, and act, and sing. And most of all I get to be super close to the girl that I love and -"
"The girl that you what?" Gabriella interrupted, gob smacked. Troy's hand immediately went to scratch the back of his neck (a nervous habit that Gabriella had picked up on.)
"The girl that Iā¦love." he took her shaking hands and pulled her closer to his body. "I love you, Gabriella. I wanted to say it on the phone, but you hung up before I got a chance to." he smirked. It was Gabriella's turn to blush. Troy just laughed and placed his lips on hers. Gabriella's arms instinctively went to wrap around his neck, and his rested on her waist.
"I love you, Wildcat." she said breathlessly once they had pulled back. "Oh no. I can't call you that. You're technically not a Wildcat anymore." she pouted thoughtfully.
"Hey," he began, swinging an arm around her shoulders and escorting her off the stage. "Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat." he paused. "hey, that's pretty good. You think I should use that in my graduation speech?"
Hope you enjoyed! Please review if you have time, reviews make me happy ;D
