Her denta were grinding again. It was to be another all-nighter of recon and looking for Decepticon activity in the streets of Jasper, Nevada. Keeping the planet Earth safe and try to have a full night's recharge at the same time was definitely going to kill Arcee.

But the time was not now.

Not when there were still Cons who needed to be stopped, with the war at a standstill, where it seemed to be perpetual to her.

She had her own cross to bear, as what the Earth saying went, and she had to keep going. But the idea of a never-ending war was just too much for her to handle.

"Hey 'Cee," Bulkhead peered around the exit, holding a small plastic cup. "Thought I'd tag along with you on your recon mission."

At which, tired and stressed as she was, Arcee found herself smiling. "You have the option to stay at the base, you know, Bulk."

"I know," Bulkhead said as he stood by the femme. "But it'd hardly worth it on my own. And I think the same can be said for you."

Arcee looked up to him, and nodded. "You have a good point there."

She knew that Bulkhead too had some roads to walk on, his own cross to bear, and if they had overcome old grudges to find answers, they would do it together.

She wouldn't have it any other way.
