NOTE: For those who don't know me very well, GB is my second favorite character next to Rocket. Every time I watch the scene where GB SPOILER ALERT cries over Smith's dead body, I fantasize snuggling close to him while licking every last tear from his snout as he cries. I know, I am SO weird. Also, I'm apparently a canine of unspecified breed in this. Anyway, feel free to read and review!

It was a very sad day for the dogs of ohu. The beloved spaniel officer, Smith had just been killed by the monstrous Kaibutsu. Everyone was hit hard but GB was clearly crying harder than anyone.

"Old Man. You did so well, if you hadn't done it in your condition, just maybe..." The setter choked out.

"Smith San" Weed whispered sadly to himself.

GB had warm tears dripping down his snout like a leaky faucet, falling off the tip of his nose and hitting the ground like salty raindrops, "That the old man had to go and do all this, it's all my fault."

Through his tears, GB explained to all of us about his history with Smith, "He saved my life in a road accident a long time ago. Because of that, he strayed away and lost sight of Weed's mother. It's entirely my fault! I should be the one laying there dead, not him!"

It was then that I had had enough, I just couldn't sit by and watch this adorable, handsome dog cry anymore. I walked straight up to GB and leaned in close, tracing my tongue from the tip of his nose to the corners of his eyes, licking every last salty tear rolling down his muzzle.

GB's eyes slowly opened and he noticed that I was licking his tears away. He forced a sad smile before walking close to me and with a sniffle, broke down crying onto my shoulder. I put my arms around the weeping English Setter, stroking his back with my paws, "It wasn't your fault, GB. In the end, it was Smith's choice. You may see yourself as a coward when you are in fact, a very smart dog. You have a good survival instinct."

"D...don't say stuff like that. Y...you're just trying to sugarcoat it." GB whimpered as tears continued to roll down his snout in a steady flow.

I once again licked GB's tears from his snout with my tongue while nuzzling him, "Whether I sugarcoat it or not, we're in the same boat together. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I'm always here, GB." I said as I tenderly kissed the distressed setter.

"All right, Kurt." GB sniffled, "If...if you say so."

Looking over to Smith's body, I could feel a hot, salty tear of my own running down my snout, "I agree with you, GB. He was so brave. It's a shame he's gone..." I continued to snuggle close to GB as I rubbed my paw up and down his back.
