Please Come Home for Christmas

Inuyasha smiled at his youngest children. It was a good idea to get out of Japan for a while. Especially with the scrutiny that the government was under. He sighed, he knew that his husband was busy making sure their newest identities were holding up, that didn't keep him from missing his lover.

America, strange to think that this country was younger than he was. He stared out the window and wondered about this young country's influence on their children. Already they have adopted 'Christmas', though that may be because they love getting presents. He could handle the not so subtle hints for gifts, but the sad eyes they gave him for wanting daddy home.

Running nails cut short through his white hair, he leaned against the door and finally closed the bedroom door. Moving downstairs, he smiled at the Christmas tree and lights. He laughed at the hard cookies that they were so proud of making. Chuckling, he went get the presents he had hidden.

Stopping short, he realized that there were only four cookies on the plate and one of them had a bite out of it. He remembered, each child had put out their 'best' cookie. There should be five. Inuyasha let his eyes bleed gold as his claws dropped.

"I thought you were supposed to help them make edible cookies." A voice drawled.

Inuyasha spun around, a smile breaking over his face. "You ass!"

Sesshomaru smirked, brushing off a b it of snow. "Little Brother, I have missed you!"

Inuyasha grabbed his husband and kissed him tenderly. "Of course you did. I love you."

Both of them grinned as they heard small feet running back upstairs.
