The Doctor stands in the middle of his TARDIS. His is in extreme pain. Rose and Clara stand before him; both of them look fearful. "Whats happening?" Clara whispers. Rose keeps her eyes on the Doctor. "Go on then." She whispers. The Doctor looks at the women. The Bad Wolf and The Impossible Girl. His memories of them, of Martha, of Donna, of Amy and Rory. He remembers all the people who have died for him and all of those who have lived lives like no other because of him. He remembers Jack and Sarah Jane, and Mickey and Jackie. He thinks of his wife, River, and how she's the last bit of the Pond's that he'll ever have. Finally, through all the pain and memories, of his love for Rose and loss of Donna, the memory of the Queen of Years sticks out of all of them. It was his first true adventure with Clara. Not the first time he offered himself to the enemy to let others live. And it couldn't be the last time. It wouldn't be the last time. Mary's song, Wake Up, stirs in his head. Over one thousand years of time and space to remember, a song was a cinch. He remember every word, every note. He let it play through his head:
Rest now…..my warrior.
Rest now, hardship is over.
Live. Wake up. Wake up.
And let the cloak, of life – cling to your bones. Cling to your bones.
Wake up, wake up.
Live. Wake up. Wake up.
And let the cloak, of life – cling to your bones. Cling to your bones
Wake up. Wake up!
Live! Wake up! Wake up!
And let the cloak! Of life! Cling to your bones! Cling to your bones!
Wake up! Wake up!
Wake up! Wake up!
He closed his eyes and whispered: Geronimo.
