"Ivan, I'm exhausted, eh," the Canadian whined softly, snuggling close to his polar bear as he watched his boyfriend's expression change to one of disappointment through the computer screen. "Désolé, but I think I'm going to bed."

"Нет, you will stay awake," Russia responded, his disappointed stare accompanying a sort of pouty look his masculine features seemed to take on. Matthew couldn't help but giggle at the display. "Is something funny, Matvey?"

Canada nodded, flashing the disgruntled country a tired smile. "Oui, it's kinda funny when you pout. It just looks odd on you because most of the time all I see from you is a blank or childish expression, eh."

Ivan released a harsh exhale of breath and furrowed his eyebrows, adding to his pout and providing more amusement for the Canadian. Matthew stuck his tongue out at the Russian and rubbed his bright violet eyes.

"In all seriousness though," Matthew yawned, "I'm going to sleep."

"Нет,"

Matthew frowned. "Oui, I'm going to sleep, Ivan. I'm tired and it's getting late, eh."

"Are you back talking me, Matvey?" the Russian's tone had changed. No longer did it hold a sort of disheartened sound; it now sounded somewhat threatening. The Canadian also noted a dramatic shift in Ivan's expression. Gone was the cute pout Russia had exhibited just moments ago. Now there was a smile, but Canada knew to be wary. This was no real display of happiness or playful intent. No, Matthew was very familiar with this childish twist of the lips. He knew it meant Ivan was issuing him a warning; one that, if ignored, could easily push the man on the other side of the screen to pursue him. Not in the way he'd like either.

Knowing this, Canada proceeded to reply quieter than his usual whisper, but still attempted to stand his ground, however poorly. "I-I suppose I am."

Both Nations sat in silence; one contemplating his response and the other nervously awaiting this answer.

Russia continued to smile. "Hmmmm…I kill you now then, da?"

Matthew let out a breath of relief and rolled his eyes. He'd heard the threat many times before and not once had the Russian acted upon it. Still, for Ivan's personal enjoyment, Canada played along. "Non, you can't kill me through the computer, eh~!"

"Want bet?"

The Canadian nodded and crossed his arms, giving Russia a challenging look. "Oui."

Ivan released one of his well-known 'kolkol' laughs and took Matthew completely by surprise by passing a large, gloved hand through the computer screen, closing his fingers around a certain blond curl, and giving it a tug. Matthew gasped and shuddered, heat rising to his pale cheeks, in response to the sudden action. The Canadian's eyes widened in horror as he let out a blood curdling scream and slammed the lid of his laptop shut. He reached over with lightning quick reflexes and snatched up his closest hockey stick. As he brought the hockey equipment down on the laptop, the sadistic laughter of Ivan Braginski echoed loudly in his ears.
