Beloved – sink beneath the waves,
As water surrounds and the clock begins to crack –
Ne'er comes a death that saves,
The ones of the past; they have left you to sorrow's rack.
Beloved – Where is your anchor here?
This land of light and darkness, of calm and loss –
At you we leer,
Even as they did; those who callously left your soul to chaos.
Beloved – do you feel the waters rise?
This is our world; this ocean that has become your purgatory.
Desperation hides in your eyes.
You shall continue swimming home, even through the musings of agony.
Beloved – you are more than the raging tides.
Though water surrounds, and the clock will not falter –
Ne'er you see where death abides.
Many have said goodbye – and still you seek an answer.
A/N: Sort of from the ocean's POV - I started writing and this is what came about. Thank you for reading, gramercy and God bless you!
