Moving On

Summary: Molly visits Rafe's grave after her graduation and tells him of her plans for the future.

Molly Davis was still dressed in her cap and gown as she walked through the graveyard and took a seat beside Rafe's grave. Her hands touched the stone gently as she placed the flowers she'd brought infront of it. "Hello Rafe." She said with a smile. "It's nice out today, isn't it? It didn't even rain. Thank you for letting the weather be so great. I know you must've had something to do with it."

A lot had changed since the year that had passed since Rafe's death. Her father who she'd thought to be back had come back, her mother finally ended things with Julian, Her cousing Michael had found out the secrets Sonny had been keeping from him. TJ was off at college. They'd broken up months ago but were still friends. Sometimes, she found herself wondering what would've happened if Rafe were still they have gotten together in TJ's absence. She shakes her head, clearing her thoughts before she speaks once more.

"You know, I miss you everyday. Sometimes, I still expect to see you or..I feel the need to call you. Then I remember that I can't." Molly smiles sadly, taking off her cap and setting it on the ground beside of her. "You should've graduated with me, Rafe. It isn't fair. I guess the only good thing is my father being alive. Somehow, I feel like you brought him back to me and I need to thank you for that. By the way, I'm going to college in a couple of months. I'm studying to be a children's psychologist. I want to help kids like you. I wanna do good. And I'm going to adopt. I'm going to give a kid a chance in the future. If your death has made me realize anything it's that there are so many kids out there who need help. So many who aren't getting it. I need to change that. By the way, tell your mother hello for me. She did a great job raising you."

It's eighteen years later and Molly has been a child psychologist for a few years. She used to work at a psychologist at GH until she decided to actually open an office up in her home where her patients could actually be comfortable. Her dog, Jesse and cat, Oliver help her with the patients who are afraid to open up. She had two children, Luka and Hailey, both of whom had been patients of hers' that she ended up fostering and then later, adopting.

When she looked at Luka and Hailey, she saw happiness in their eyes. They were healthy, smart, and brilliant and had everything they needed. And she loved them both so much. She knows that she made the right decision when she decided to study psychology. She was always meant for this. She still thought of Rafe everyday and her children knew of him, knew how important he was to her. She wasn't about to let him be forgotten.
