A/N: I've been writing a lot of these lately…ah well, this is slightly…weird.

"How did we all come to this?
A disappointment! A disappointment!
We scream that we just can't resist!
And we're all to blame."

THE GATEThere was a Gate.
It deserved to have a capital because it needed reverence. Larger than the world itself but smaller than the smallest atom, engravings carved into metal flesh of monstrous depictions; demons and humans devouring one another and wicked gargoyle statues scrambling up the ivory yet ebony pillars.
The oblivion surrounding this Gate was filled with ravenous gold and red eyes, multitudinous figures swarming over another to heave themselves towards the Gate, howling in despair as they remained in the substantial mire of oblivion, unable to escape to salvation.
Every night, Ichigo stood before this Gate.
Every night, the Hollow stood with him.
Within the oblivion, his pure washed-out skin and snow-white hair almost made him seem like a fallen angel, the creatures beyond their sight whimpering and cowering away, continuing their futile efforts towards the Gate. But the black sclera and molten gold irises changed that purity into something perverse, the Devil in White.
Every night, they both stood before the Gate.
Ichigo himself, could not understand what this nightmare – it was a nightmare, nothing like this existed, right? – meant. The grotesque horrific Gate looming above them, the sick engravings and piteous statues making the scene far more nightmarish then it already was. It was always close enough to touch, close enough to open.
The enticement scrabbled at his mind. What lay behind it? Torment? Ecstasy? Power?
Power.
Power he needed.
Should he open it?
Should he even dare to?
Every night, the Hollow leans against the closed ivory yet ebony colossal doors and grins in that distinctive way of his.
"Remember yet?"
At that moment, every night, he wakes up.
Wakes up with his hand out stretched before him and breathing harsh as the shadows in his mind shrink into the tight corners of his mind, bringing everything else with it.
Every night, after he wakes up, he forgets his dream.

A/N: Told you, weird. Anyone understand it?
