Hear me when I say, when I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change Destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah…
Keep holding on,
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you…

"My work is done. You are a blood-bender."
The villagers lead Hama away as Katara sank to her knees and started to cry.
What have I done? What kind of monster have I become?
"Katara?" Aang tried to get her attention. Katara ignored him.
Somehow she must have made it back to camp. Sokka and Toph had gone back to the inn to pick up their stuff and then Aang, Toph, and Sokka had set up camp. There was no way Katara would go back to the inn.
Somehow she made it to her sleeping bag, and after a long while cried herself to sleep.

For the next three days, Katara tried to stay as far away from water as possible, drinking only when she was to thirsty to wait any longer.
Finally Sokka told Aang, "You gotta talk to her."
Katara had gone for a walk in the woods, and Toph was in her earth tent.
"What are you talking about?" Aang asked Sokka, who was poking the fire with a stick.
"You gotta talk to Katara and find out what's wrong. She's like, avoiding water, and you have to admit, that's not like her." Sokka said.
"Okay, I'll go see if I can find her." Aang stood up and raced off into the woods.

Katara absently walked through the trees. There was a roar of wind behind her, and Aang appeared. "Hey Katara."
"Hi Aang." Katara said softly as she kept walking.
Aang walked on behind her, trying to think of someway to break the silence. "The funniest thing happened back at camp. Sokka was carrying a load of wood to the campfire, and he tripped and fell flat on his face. He had the funniest look on his face when he got up."
"Sounds nice." Katara said inattentively.
"Katara, what's wrong?" Aang asked. "You haven't been acting right since we left Hama. What happened?"
Katara stopped and reached to pick a flower. "Hama showed me some more water bending techniques. How to pull water out of the air, and how to pull water out of plants." Katara pulled the water out of the flower and let the shriveled and withered stem fall to the ground.
"Then she said she had a special move to show me, but it could only be done during the night under a full moon. She wanted to teach me how to bend blood," Katara's voice quivered. "And I learned how to do it."
Aang stayed silent for a moment, and Katara continued. "What kind of monster have I become?! Under the full moon, I can control people against their will!" Katara through her head into her hands and started to cry.
"I don't want to do that, ever, but I'm afraid I'll end up having to do it!" She sobbed.
Aang watched her for a moment. "So don't use it for evil."
Confused, Katara looked at him.
"Think about it. Hama used it to kidnap all those people. She used it for evil. But everyone has a choice, and you don't have to use for evil. You can use it for good."
Katara suddenly turned and hugged Aang, even though she was still crying. "Thanks, Aang." She whispered.
Aang patted Katara on the back as she continued to cry.
"It'll be okay, Katara, it'll be okay."
