It has been a month since Michael died, and the thought of it is still engraved into my head. I'd lay in bed every night, looking out the window, hoping maybe his soul would find me and I could say a proper goodbye... but what are the chances of that happening? One evening, during the sunset, I was sitting on the hill with Toriel, huddled up with her. I turned to her and asked, "Mom, do you think that Michael's soul will come visit me someday?" She replied, "I do not know, my child. I believe that his soul is already at rest. Do not be upset, I'm sure that he knows you care about him." A tear fell down my cheek, and I gave her a hug.
Later that night, I was fast alseep. Nothing but near silence surrounded me. That is, until I was woken up by a small bright light that seemed to be coming from outside. I shrugged it off and assumed it was just a car driving by; however, it started emitting an unusual sound. It sounded like bells, quiet, but beautiful. That's when I got out of bed and checked outside, and that's when I saw it...
It was Michael. His soul glowed a bright white. He didn't speak aloud, but I could hear him in my head, "O p e n t h e w i n d o w ." I opened it. He told me to reach out to him. I reached as far as my hands could stretch, and I felt him. The warmth that emitted from him filled me with determination, and I started to cry. "D o n ' t c r y F r i s k . I ' m h e r e f o r y o u ." I replied, "I love you, Michael." "I l o v e y o u t o o ." That's when I said what I never got to say before he passed. "Goodbye, Michael..." He replied... "G o o d b y e ." He ascended to the sky. I never saw him again. However, there was one thing he said before he left for good.
"S t a y d e t e r m i n e d ."
